That young Scottish Left Back looked decent, Fletch looked bit off the pace, expected though Sky Sports News treating him like the Messiah and Saviour of Scottish football England beat a third rate Scotland team so that makes them second rate IMO How many of these England wonder boys would get in a first choice German XI? ... and Germany don't even have world class in every position #realism Does England have World Class at any position?

The whole squad is shite really. Where is Ings, Berahino etc? Why is Walker and Townsend in there. Charlie Austin should even be in there, Lallana has been wank, Walcott barely played. Meh, don't care anyway really, never gonna win anything

Surprised by the omission of Ings, Austin and Berahino. I'd have had Austin instead of Welbeck and Ings or Berahino instead of the barely-fit Sturridge.
No idea why Townsend is in there either, same as Delph. Then again it's probably more a sign of England's paucity of options rather than them being on good form.
Also no Ashley Young. What the fuck? Guy has been immense for us lately. Instead he goes for Walcott, who has barely played.

Delph has had a very solid season in a poor Villa side, to be fair.

I don't really care about England games but I thought Young had done enough to get a place.

Aren't Ings & Berahino being kept with the U21's due to the U21 Euro Championships this summer?

Aren't Ings & Berahino being kept with the U21's due to the U21 Euro Championships this summer? It's never mattered before No, but they are learning that taking the Underage tournaments seriously is a necessity for preparing players for the senior team. They have finally cottoned on to what the Spanish, Germans, etc have all been doing for a while now

And whilst we are on the subject Lingard has been called up to the squad.
Ex-Red Michael Keane makes the squad too.
