Why the hell are we taking Valdes in ? I fucking despise that knob. I do not like where this is headed. What I want to hear is De Gea has signed a new deal to remain till 2050 with a release clause of 1 billion.

A very real World Class hole left behind.

LvG says that he has done this before with several of his former players, supposedly doesn't mean a thing beyond him having good relationship with Valdes

In fairness to Smithy, Real are annoyingly ruthless when they set their eyes on a player. But DDG's alliegence's will keep him with us. I think it would help if he was rightly first choice for Spain, so there is absolutely no need to move back for that (Alonso springs to mind recently). But for once I'd be pretty confident we're ok. The talk of De Gea leaving is awful. The inferiority complex fans seem to have about Real is worse. The only player they have ever stole is Ronaldo isn't it? We still made him wait a year and got what seemed a decent fee at the time.

Honestly hope your right but its always disheartening when you hear rumours that Real are sniffing around. Nah, Woodward wants his own Galacticos. He'll tell them to shove it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say De Gea is held in as high regard as Ronaldo was/is during his time here by the fans, A lot of it was due to the seige mentality of getting behind your players, but I think most of us (hopefully) saw beyond the first few dodgy games, I for one never slated him in the early days, and stopped listening to the commentary whilst it was happening.
Ronaldo's dream was playing for MADrid, De Gea's isn't. He knows he's loved, and from what I've seen (on social media etc, he loves us right back)

Manchester United club-record signing Angel Di Maria has dismissed suggestions that he joined the Red Devils to earn more money. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti claimed that the Argentine winger's wage demands were too high for the Spanish capital club to match and that was the reason for him moving to United during the summer transfer window. Di Maria earns a reported £200,000-a-week at Old Trafford, but the former Benfica star has revealed that it was the lure of playing for a legendary club like United that made him leave the Santiago Bernebeu. "I have these amazing feelings about having moved to Man U," Di Maria told the Mirror. "I'm so proud of myself, you know. It's hard to explain it and put it in words. I truly wanted to move to United. I wanted to wear this shirt." The Argentine international is also proud to be wearing the number 7 jersey, a jersey that has been worn by some of the club's greatest players like Eric Cantona, George Best and his former Real colleague Cristiano Ronaldo. "And it is so nice for me to wear the No.7 shirt. It was worn by some of the greatest players in the club's history and I do know that it is a huge thing for all Man United fans." "I think people here are happy with me. So I must honour this shirt. I must confess that I had all these expectations – but Man U have exceeded my expectations. It has all been perfect for me so far," the former Real winger gushed. The 26-year-old forward is confident that United will regain its place at the top very soon and believes that once the new players settle down, they will be back challenging for all the titles like they were till a couple of seasons back. "We have players capable of putting the team back in the place they were a few seasons ago." "We have showed signs that we can do things the right way. We need to know each other better because there are lots of new players. But we are on our way and I can tell you that we will be fighting for all the titles." "I came here to win titles and to put Man United back where they belong," Di Maria concluded. www.ibtimes.co.uk/angel-di-maria-dismisses-money-reason-manchester-united-move-1471779?

Someone tell him not to say U that was what i was going to say Maybe someone should translate this below into his own language and send it onto him then he might understand why a lot of United supporters (me being one of them) hate that word. In fact send it onto Charlie Nicholas on Virgin Sky Sports Saturday. I do like watching that show on a Saturday but he pisses me off when he keeps saying it. www.answers.com/Q/Why_is_ManU_an_insult_to_Manchester_United

90thmin.com/louis-van-gaal-makes-james-wilson-change-shirt-from-no-47-to-no-49/‘As I’m a striker, the gaffer wanted me to have a nine in my number, and 49 was the closest,' he told MUTV. Wilson rose through the ranks at United and Sunday was the teenager's third appearance in the Premier League, having scored twice against Hull last season. In October against Everton, Wilson became the 30th player used by Van Gaal this season - more than any other team as the Dutchman feels his way around his new squad. The No 47 slot remains vacant at Old Trafford. Previous owners of the No 49 shirt are Ravel Morrison and Frederic Veseli, but neither played in the Premier League for the Red Devils. Quite surprised none of you guys spotted this, you're slipping
