I rarely say this but I certainly don’t envy the people at Utd who have to decide the next course of action. How long's he got on his contract? Loan him out until it expires? Renew if people forget over time? You'd have to think keeping him on ruins the image of us as a family club. So yeah, whoever makes these decisions, I do not envy them.

Someone will pick him up if we do release him. Like it or not we have a justice system for a reason and in this case Greenwood has been found innocent of any wrong doing and should be allowed to carry on with his trade.

Use him as a makeweight for Osi during the summer would be my course of action.

Lads, less of stuff like this. It's pure hearsay and potentially libellous. Let's try and be adult about this. There's been no accusaton on my part, its a loosely based opinion. So off your high horse. Yes.

Problem is because this is so high profile I don't think its a simple as that. The club have to also think about how it will effect everything else. Innocent or guilty the least he is, is an idiot for the recording. Will be interesting to say the least how they deal with it though.

Actually chaps, is there anything to be said to avoiding this almost entirely on here? Not trying to censor anyone’s views even if they run contrary to mine or others. Just wondering if it’s worth the potential headache that might come from the whole issue. I wouldn't have thought so providing we tread carefully. Just need to watch what's said.

Registrations might be a problem though. Would it be worth it for the flak the club will receive though? It's not like the team needs him right now and I doubt any other top club would go near him. He hasn't even trained for almost a year. As mentioned, it's a tough one. Personally I'd hate to see him in a United shirt ever again

People can speculate all they want with regards to ‘envelopes ‘ etc,but the only point to surely address is that the case involving him was dropped . There was quite a bit of chatter online about him and the alleged victim having got back together late last year, whatever the case, it’s a real minefield to be tippy-toeing around, no mistake ! As a general point re (dropped )charges, and from a non-lawyer ,can’t the Police or CPS continue with a case if the evidence is compelling enough, as victims of domestic violence or abuse will often withdraw same and fail to cooperate further?

He wasn't found not guilty. The case was dropped. There's a big difference. The whole thing is about to get more complicated from the clubs point anyway which is all I care about.

There is no chance I will ever support that cunt wearing our shirt ever again. It would be an absolute joke if he were ever allowed to play for us again.

Personally I'd hate to see him in a United shirt ever again There is unpalatable shit going on in plenty of personal lives. We didn't ditch Rooney when he was out cheating on his missus with prozzers, and nobody is convincing me Giggs kept his garbage totally under the rug. He's a brilliant footballer who has had some bad PR. I don't know how I feel either way but the club cannot take a moral high ground on this and look serious.
