Is Wenger doing a Cloughie

Oh definitely they have the energy and, to an extent, the grit but they're not the most physically powerful of guys. We need a tough bastard like a De Rossi, Vidal or Strootman..... or Keane in his prime. Someone who isn't easily bullied off the ball or intimidated.

Keane wasn't that big and powerful but he had a great engine and was really tenacious, plus he was intelligent off the ball. Gattuso was a short arse but you wouldn't wanna play against him. I think Energy is more important in these players than being big and athletic.

Clough was miles ahead of Wenger as a manager for me, the bald writing underneath tells it. The only thing was a lot of the honours he achieved with Forrest was when he had Peter Taylor beside him. Taylor retired in 1982 and in a way Cloughie was not the same and Forrest were relegated in 1993 and Cloughie retired. In a way there may might be a similarity going to happen. Wenger won the majority of the honours at the old Arsenal ground, Highbury. At the Emirates its just last years FA Cup and the Charity shield. So it would be funny if they did get relegated. Can't see that happening really and if Arsenal were struggling in the relegation zone then I think the Arsenal board would act and sack him. He would then be only the 4th manager to be sacked by the gooners and follow in the footsteps of Leslie Knighton, Terry Neill & George Graham.

It's because Wenger has a core first 11, which is a mixture of experience and youth and then from the sub bench downwards it's just all unheard-of, unproven youngsters. Blind is Carrick 2.0, and Herrera like that little pit bull who takes down a German Shepard. The player with the midfield grit is none other then......Vidal, ok, I have gone and said it. This is exactly the player to help enforce the midfield...
