Brilliant. I seen that earlier this afternoon. They had (Salford) a 2-1 win also over Kendal Town. The 'Ginger Ninja' and co rise again.

Aiming for the Championship in 16 years, 8 promotions? Very gettable in the situation they are in now.
The first 4 or so will be a piece of piss for them, with the CO92's football connections they will be able to get loan deals and youth players that they have no right getting in the first place along with the financial investment and obviously the football knowledge between them all.

Salford City promoted to National League North 2 hours ago|FootballSalford City - the side co-owned by former Manchester United stars - have been promoted to the sixth tier of English football for the first time.
Gary Neville was at Moor Lane to see Salford score twice in the final 12 minutes to beat Workington 3-2 in their Northern Premier League play-off final. It means Salford will play in National League North next season. 'Class of 92' members Neville, brother Phil, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt took a 50% stake in 2014. The club were promoted last season and this term reached the FA Cup second round, featuring in live TV games against Notts County and Hartlepool United. Their progress was followed in a two-part BBC documentary 'Out of Their League', which has been commissioned for a second series. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36178979
