Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Romario. Why do these grwat players fizzle out so young? Injuries? Party lifestyle? Football agents and owners of clubs. Convince a young player he is the 'Bees Knees' then flog them around too line there own pockets. The young player then does not have time to develop at a club. Was not like that in Pele's days.

He's 34, but he has not fizzled out. Of course he has. Moved to Flamengo at 30 after being crap at AC Milan. How much more can you fizzle?

All of those players you mentioned have things in common:
- Really early bloomers - Played for Real Madrid and Barcelona; Unless you sign for United, the only way from those two is down.

Ramario was stil playing at 40 but he'd long fizzled. He played 4 games for Adelaide United but was the biggest waste of space I've ever seen live.

That's the other thing. A lot of South Americans like/want to go back before the real end of their careers. Leaving European football always seems like a a step down but it would be like Rio going back to West Ham when he was 31/32, rather than Henry going back to Arsenal on loan for a swansong.
