All this sad optimism and false hope has divided the house. The optimists have a home for hippies. Time for a place to really gripe about stuff without fear or being treated like a Dipper and asked to move on. Simple rules, there are none, be as gloomy and miserable as you wish - bring your own hankies. Politeness is important no rudeness towards UNITED FANS but anything else goes, especially venom directed towards Dippers and Leeds scum. Unlike the happy hippies, there will be awards for serious prose and deep gloom. Particularly interesting subjects include:
1. can our robots be turned back into footballers?
2. does the manager have long balls or just a long back pass[age]?
3. memories - was Rooney a striker and did he really score great goals?
4. who was Ronnie, and do you have proof he played for us?
5. What are the odds on relegation?
6. what is the value of statistics in management conferences?

In an ideal world... This is all part of a master plan where LvG has set us up to play pragmatically and we will catch fire once (if) we return to the top 4.
The reality? I feel like I am watching every game having pressed a default setting button- and it is a default button that the manager feels he absolutely does not need to change because there is nothing to be changed.

SAF did it for years. because we were winning games there was no reason to sign (or promote) a top CM, even though our performances weren't great the last 2 or 3 seasons under SAF. |
