Apologies if there is already a thread but I couldn't find one? Anyway, he's leaving Dortmund. Surely he's City bound? Great to see him in the Premiership, pity it'll be at City, but with the way things are going in quite happy to stick with Louis! m.bbc.com/sport/football/32317833

I've got a funny feeling Arsene is retiring this season

I'd be more scared with him in charge of Arsenal than City. Hopefully he's off to Spain for a couple of years

I read that Roberto Mancini is not doing too well at Internazionale. Klopp could be their next manager.

Couldnt we give him a backup role here for a couple of seasons? A proven winner, and i would have more confidence in him than an unproven Giggs. We had our fingers burnt with Moyes, and need to keep at the top with only the best proven quality managers coming in.

I suggested a couple of times, before this disaster season, that he wouldn't be a great fit for the EPL. At least if he came over and didn't adapt. People wanted him after Fergie, while I'd have easily had him over Moyes, but was never convinced he'd actually work.
His style, the 'gegenpressing' counter attacking stuff, wouldn't have worked here. It worked for a while in Germany, where they have fewer teams in the league, only 1 domestic cup and nice big winter break. I'd always thought that if he tried that over here with team playing in europe, they'd be burnt out before spring. It didn't surprise me they had injury problems either.
Yes they lost a couple of quality players, but I think the league began to adapt a bit to their style. When asked for a different answer, Klopp seemed to struggle to find one. If he were to manage this current City squad, he'd need a different style with their aging squad and I'm not sure if they can invest. It'll be interesting to see where he goes and what idea's he takes to them. IF he stays a bit one dimensional I think I'll be right it my doubt of him.

What must be worrying for any manager going to City is that a Premier title (and then real contenders for 90% of the following season plus doing OK in the CL) in two years is NOT acceptable for the owners - Same happened to Mankini It happens at pretty much everywhere even if you keep a club well away from relegation and make a profit in transfer dealings - the owners want titles just to raise the profile of a club and anything else is failure - no trophy then it's offski for the manager We'll never see the likes of a Dario Gradi again ... or even someone like Fergie being given 4 or 5 years to turn things around Would like to see a few high profile managers coming out in the media and saying "I turned them down because of the way they treated Pelegrini and Mancini and didn't want the same treatment - they are a bunch of wankers" - instant respect from every manger in the game - and the majority of fans too

If you think about it Kagawa watched Fergie's retirement, Moyes getting fired and now he gets to see Klopp leaving

Just remembered he also saw two Japan national team's managers getting fired as well lol according to bbc this wouldn't happen because Brendan is a GENIUS and nothing on eath can get over his massive talent, not even Mata

According to the press Klopp wants the Utd job. Hes now on a semi retirement after turning down liverpool. Does 2+2 add up and he takes over from LVG?
His old Mainz colleague Eckhard Krautzun said "Jurgen speaks English. And since we spoke about United. He once told me, that one day, when it does not fit with Dortmund any more, Manchester United would be his club".
"But at this moment the job is taken. Klopp would fit perfectly to an English club that is well lead and well organised. "One which has a very good board of directors. A club with one person reigning, like Chelsea, would not be right for him."
