Hiya Reds!
This is my first real post so I will try to make it a good one!
I would very much like to know who everybody thinks Louis should be buying this summer...
I would personally love to see a whole new back line, however keep promoting youth at the same time, so Otamendi, Clyne, and Dani Alves could be fantastic signings for the club, Alves particularly as he is leaving on a free from Barca.
Next Louis himself has said he wants a holding midfielder who can provide cover for, or take over from Michael Carrick, whom has been absolutely tremendous this season when he has played, and his performances definitely reflect on the results. If he was fit all season we really could've gone places and pushed for a top 3 finish. Therefore I believe two players who can be perfect for the role would be Sami Khedira and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Both experienced at top clubs, with Sami he is free and determined to prove himself at another top club, united would be perfect. With Bastian he has been with Louis before, whom changed his position to create an even better player and a legend for Bayern. However both are ageing and not long term signings, however I have been impressed with Ander Herrera this season, Spaniards seem to do the job for us very well.
With Memphis coming in, we will definitely see a brilliant competition for a place with Ashley Young, who has really stepped it up this season and I have loved watching him play, getting up off my seat to applaud him many times this season, therefore with Memphis we can see a player with more of an eye for goal, and I don't believe our lot are being very selfish recently, passing off chances to shoot a lot of the time. So Memphis I am definitely looking forward to watching.
Finally, we need at least 1 fast, poaching striker who can make runs that Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao could not, a player similar to this could include Alexandre Lacazette, or perhaps promote Ashley Fletcher from the youth or use James Wilson more. Rooney is a top striker but I don't feel he is used properly when isolated up front on his own.
Lastly, I sincerely hope David de Gea stays, I have loved his insane performances throughout the whole year, and had the privilege of seeing some of them up close, the last save against Osman versus Everton in October won us the match, it was unbelievable. However should he leave, which is understandable, I believe Victor can step up and be No.1 after he made some top draw saves against Hull on Sunday. Nevertheless, should Louis not feel comfortable with Valdes, I guess Hugo Lloris or Asmir Begovic will be prime targets.
If you have managed to read this I thank you so much and look forward to hearing back!
Let me know if I have missed anyone.
