What a gutting way to go out. Cue endless comments about how the men's team should be embarrassed etc... which is all rather tiresome, given they should feel ashamed by how shit they are regardless of comparison with the women's team.
I can't claim to have taken much more than a vague, passing interest in the tournament but it's never nice to see someone lose a match like that, especially a match of such importance to them. It'll be a huge boost to the women's game and, for me, that's only a good thing.

Real shame for England. Terrible way to get beat. I managed to stay awake and watch the first half, and apart from some terrible finishing, England were well in it and played some decent stuff, alright, there were a lot of long punts, but is that any worse than our mens team? Wish I'd of watched more of it now as I enjoyed it more than the mens games.

Yeh feel horrible for that poor girl, will haunt her forever that will.
England whether it be the men or the women just can't catch a break lol, I really dont know what god we angered but it's almost comical now. Since I have been wathcing England I have seen. - A hand of god - Countless penalty shoot outs - Disallowed goals that were actually in. - Stupid red cards - Freak goals scored against us
and probably more that I can't even think of. Self inflicte dor not England are long overdue some good luck.

Sad fact is I was enjoying England's women's run, it was the idiots in the studio and the commentary box that ruined it for me, I understand its home support so they will back them more than other teams but it got embarrassing to listen to at times, also didn't help when they didn't have a clue what they were on about. However it was a cruel way to get knocked out and you have to feel sorry for them, especially the lass that ended it for them, bad enough conceding in the final minute let alone conceding via your own player (was a quality finish btw ).

Of course I agree with you but that being said sometimes you do need a little bit of luck. Not defending Englands performances especially over the past few years but I honetsly can't remember a incident where something went our way like a deflection, ref mistake, the opposition bottling their penalties etc. We seem to thrive in being the "brave" losers.

You're so angry today, Carbs. Switch to decaf...? Also, my original post was regarding how everyone seemed to be talking about how much they'd like to bone various members of various teams, instead of talking about the game or the football. I think it's great people are watching the Women's World Cup but hopefully some of the viewers are doing it without their fists wrapped around their uncircumcized dongs.

Mana Iwabuchi was impressive coming off the bench for Japan, she reminded me a bit of Coutinho with her mad dribbling skills and pressure she put on defenders. The final will be a moment that the US team has been waiting, and time for payback! Go USA...

Mainly because the quality was so poor. Nowt wrong with appreciating a good looking woman. Plus it passes the time through boredom so of we want to do as much then so be it.

Wow, half the comments here are about sex fueled thoughts. Having raised both my daughters in the sport, with my oldest going through the Olympic Development Program (ODP), and playing 4 years in college, maybe I have more invested in the women's game. Coaching females for 8 of my 11 years and being a supporting part of the 1994 men's World Cup, I have witnessed first hand the improvement in the speed-physicality-technical and tactical advancements in the women's play.
This World Cup has had many more exciting matches then stinkers, and it has been enjoyable to watch. Full female referee crews show how far things have come, along with the media coverage. The biggest disappointment for me is the decision to play this WC on artificial turf. The way the ball rolls along with the funky bounces are pure shit, and certainly venues should have been found for this cup to be played on real grass, or they should have passed on Canada holding this.
Can't wait for a action packed final, and the US squad bringing home the trophy....
