in American English it can be used as a synonym for crazy, insane or gross other than it's real meaning (physically or mentally ill). What does it mean there? The common meaning if you say you were sick in the UK would mean you vomited. If you said that it Aus it would mean you had a cold or something. Using slang though if you said someone was sick it would mean they were cool or awesome. So of course I knew what you meant but just find it a bit funny. Maybe the Americans are getting mixed up with bin dipper supporters who ARE crazy, inane and gross and other words we could mention. The LA Galaxy fans will soon be calling a certain banana feet Gerard that shortly, crazy, inane, gross and a toss pot. Back on topic now, Morgan Schneiderlin. Sigh.

Chaps- Koeman is due to hold a press conference about general Soton things later today. I imagine he’ll be asked about Morgan. I find it highly UNLIKELY that he’ll go ‘Yeah, the big man is on Ed’s private jet as we speak, delighted for the lad.’ Far more likely, considering that we’re allegedly in negotiations with them is that he’ll downplay it or dismiss it outright. Which he’s supposed to do. Let’s not use it as an excuse to send the board into a meltdown though.
Thanks.

I think you'll find what is going to happen is Ed will burst in on the conference and do a Kanye West. He'll announce to the world that he's taking over the conference, Schneiderlin has signed along with Otamendi, and De Gea has agreed a new 50 year contract... then simply drop the mic and swagger out, throwing gang signs and leaving to the sound of "Turn Down for What".

And then everyone will laugh at what a bullshitting cunt Ed is, just like Kanye. #Rockstar

I'll bite.
Koeman said: "There's a lot of speculation, but two weeks ago we had a bid of Manchester United, it wasn't enough, it wasn't serious, and no more bids till today.

The actual quotation is; "Two weeks ago we had a bid from United but it was not the bid we expected," Koeman told BBC Radio Solent. "It wasn't serious and no bids today." www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33415617We're doing so well...

So in a more detailed interview Koeman said:
'Soton are (effectively) a selling club.
It's very difficult when Man Utd are interested in a player.
The price has to be right.
They like Clasie as Morgan's replacement.'
I mean, there are easy bloody transfers and there's this.

Agree Stew, it's probably a question of 4.5 to 5 mill extra, we're flushed with Adidas and Chevvy funds, the commercial giant of English football. For a player of Schneiderlin's ability? Pay the christing money, put it to bed, and move on to the other targets which are a few the way the squad is now looking! Rocket science it isn't!

If Ed has a list, and he has priorities, perhaps he has to get approval to go over what was laid out as projected costs by the board or owners? No doubt of the bad blood between Koeman and LvG, seems to me that it might be a good idea to take what Koeman is bandying about with a grain of salt and remember there are 2 parties trying to make this deal
Frustrating as hell waiting to see what is happening, but perhaps looking to United and Ed as the problem is not 100% accurate. No doubt that not only is this what he was hired for, along with selling the club to sponsors. I tend to think he is also looking at a great deal of bonus money if things go the way the board would like to see them turn out.
No doubt this is very complicated business, given the competitive nature of the clubs, and the fact that none of them really want to see the others profit, and many of them actually despise each other, the nature of the transfer window has to be unique in terms of the business world. Very cut throat
(which I suspect is pretty much in line with what United fans the world over wish to see as well)
