So do we think the Swine will replace Fellaini? Either him or Herrera.

Practically the same age as Ramos. Just won the World Cup. Fraction of the price. Won't need him for every game. Happy

CaajScot How do you think Danny reacted to this? He's always wanted a German to sign for Us. I expect he's over the moon.

I think this is an incredible and long overdue signing for us in an area of the field which has been imbalanced and lacking for years. He is a quality player, as close to a complete midfielder as can be in football today. He is a throwback to vintage German midfielders, who combined ruthless efficiency with the effortless grace of a Rolls Royce, players like Lothar Matthaeus and Mathias Sammer. Class.

TBH I expect to see Carrick and Schwienie on the pitch at same time and this will turn Mata/Herrera/ADM loose to pillage, serious pace on the wing(s), Memphis and Wilson up front are flyers United is going to be very fluid and very flexible. Blind moving to the back, that might mean Shaw will move forward, these players get settled and start forming partnerships United are going to be pushing hard for Silver in every competition they are a part of I really like the way that this rebuilding is being done, no one really has a clue, and done reasonably low key. But when you start looking at it, you realize that there is a significant amount of quality coming in, and it is being done in all the right spots

The 'pig' may arrive at the Theatre of Dreams at last. Zeus is finally paying heed to millions of United fans' wishes about acquiring a German, and it is the German World Cup winning captain he has selected. I don't give a fuck that he is 30 years old. He is a tough nail & has a good 3 years in him. Just in case Rooney's form drops or we buy a new striker, we have a captain already in the team. I would give him the captaincy regardless of the above though. A leader in midfield, that went missing after Keano, is going to set some pulses racing & destroy some egos. Hoping the deal doesnt fall through & if it goes through it is not art the cost of Morgan S. #THEWARRIOR!! EDIT: Apologies. Searched in the Wrong section & created this thread when I couldn't find one.

There is no reason why we should stop the pursuit of Schneiderlin, we certainly have room for two players.

His Brother will be happy if we sign him 18 January 2011
Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed that his Manchester United-supporting brother has been trying to persuade him to move to Old Trafford.
“I have a contract here at Bayern but I do love the atmosphere in the stadiums over in England. When we played Manchester United last year, it was amazing,”. “My brother is a big Manchester United fan and he keeps saying “Go to Man United!” [laughs] But I say to him, 'I can’t, I can’t!' “I do love the speed of the game in England though. I am here in Germany until 2016, but we will see what happens. You just never know.” www.fourfourtwo.com/news/schweinsteiger-urged-join-united#QUDFhsqEswtxpEpc.99
