I'm still yet to :pp Even though I vow to every time I wake up with a blinding hangover. it's the sense of regret that gets me more than the hangover. the "did i do something stupid last night" feeling... Good old fashion shameover, know it well. Oban for me. Tastes like pure carmel candy. Have a bottle my uncle gave to me for my birthday a month or two before he passed. We drank about half of it in one night. Now whenever there is only a few fingers left I just refill it. Sentimental bastard that I am. And any Glen will do.

Those are all Scottish whiskies. Also how can you not give The Singleton it's full name? Dufftown man. It's just a funny word. Have you had The MaCallan? Well known, but it's my favourite whisky. Sorry, I meant the blended scotch kind. I know almost all whiskeys are blended in some form or the other but I have always noticed a difference between the single malts and the blended scotch whiskies. You did exactly what I was trying not to do - type the whole name . No I haven't had The MaCallan. I will give that a try . Thanks for the recommendation. And I totally agree about the whisky rocks. They aren't too effective at cooling the whiskey but its better than watering the whiskey down. Macallan's lovely, bit of sweetness from the sherry barrels that they age it in.Jura's tasty too, just having some now!

Mainly because using it to play drinking games neat has destroyed me. Just glad the bottle ran out before it could ruin me lol. One can of lager left though sad times.

Nothing like waking up after a night of overdoing it on the whiskey and your in the whiskey fog, just permeating your entire existence, spilling out of every pore.

Unfortunately not quite there, on my last can of lager so dry as a bone then. But agreed the finish has put me off slightly. although its ruined 2 of the lads so hasnt done a bad job . That and 4 bottles of home made wine has certainly separated the boys from the men tonight. All good fun

any whisky lovers in here? i bet there must be enough
got a new bottle last week as a present from my dad. "royal brackla" never heard of it before. its a 16year old highland single malt, have to say my dad picked a good one. eventhough i prefer the smoky ones especially the whiskys from islay, this is one to recommend.
edit: kept it quite short. so i`m an absolute whisky lover, not drinking it everyday, maybe 2-4 times a week a glass of good whisky but i absolutely love it. been reading lots of books about whisky, how it is distilled and its history, got my own tiny "whisky bar" at home with a couple of bottles. last year was finally the first time i made it to scotland, absolutely loved the country and its people but also my love for whisky got much bigger after that visit. sitting outside of the log cabin, in the middle of the forest while it was pouring down. having my lovely wife next to me and a glass of whisky...i`ll never forget that.
