We've debated this on the LVG thread and various matchday threads following one turgid display after another. The 0-0 vs PSV at home felt like a tipping point. The groans appear to have turned into full-on boos/dissent at OT. While the conversation on the LVG thread is rightly focused on his own performance/shortcomings, I think we need a thread dedicated to the next man. Here are the collective odds as they currently stand: www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/man-utd/next-permanent-managerWho do you think should be our next manager? When would you bring him on, considering LVG still has a season and a half (at the time of writing) on his contract? As things currently stand, I'm leaning towards Ancelloti at the end of the season (I hate how things are but still feel edgy about a mid-season change). My rationale: - From what I've seen, he does give players enough freedom to express themselves. His teams are organised but not suffocated. - Has won the Premier League (along with his other impressive achievements). - Has the personality and pedigree to handle the job. Won't be an 'in your face' kind of personality like Fergie or LVG but rather brings a calm, assured 'I know what I'm doing' demeanour to the job. - Appears to be very popular with star players (bonus for us re-signing Ronnie because of him)

Poch or Klopp would have been brilliant but both are unavailable.
Maybe give Unai Emery a shot at a big club?

Emery is on my shortlist, after myself. Obviously.

Simeone what he has done for Althletico is fantastic. Bring him and Griezman. I found out that hee has a contract till 2020. Well then.

Has to be someone who loves attacking for starters. Bare fucking minimum.

But Pep looks like an actual option so maybe.

CADENA COPE tonight have said Pep has been given the go head to join City next season, said he wants the move to England next year and he's chosen City. They're usually reliable and they've said it's fact pretty much.
Apparently Bayern are lining up Carlo as his replacement.

I'm intrigued by the Pochettino suggestion. I don't agree with hiring the biggest name manager. They don't give a shit about United and don't play our football. Give it to someone who would fall in love with the club.

Alex McLeish.
Failing that Avram Grant or Joe Kinnear.
