Who makes you chortle then? Jason Byrne makes me piss and Mickey Flanagan "going out out" is brilliant.

Remember watching mock the week a while back and enjoyed watching Milton Jones and Stewart Francis who were brilliant at their one liners.

I loved the late great Dave Allen one of the old time comedians and a few more like Tommy Cooper who are no longer with us. Don't really watch that many nowadays but I like Lee Evans and Billy Connolly, that's about it.

I have watched a couple of Al Murray stand up comedy shows but that's about it but I watch a war documentary on the Discovery/History channel on tv, the Road to Berlin and Murray does the commentary in the show and he is bloody good, you would not think that he is a stand up comedian. Will be watching an episode shortly starting at 13.00hrs. Billy Connolly is like that and does some good documentaries away from the comedy bit.

Stopped watching MTW when they got rid of Frankie Boyle but liked Russell Howard on there back then. Was never the same when Frankie left.

Any comedian not afraid of the political correctness brigade.
I'm not a massive fan of American comedians. But 2 of the best comedians I've ever heard are the late Bill Hicks and George Carlin. Makes me wonder how they would view the world today if they were still alive. Specially Bill Hicks who was only in his 30's when he died of pancreatic cancer almost 20 years ago.
Also, Australians Jim Jeffries and Brendan Burns.

What made me pose the question originally is John Mulaney has a new(ish) special on Netflix that was pretty great. He has two on there that I am aware of, both worth a watch.
