Papers have been busy.
Apparently we're signing Renato Sanches for about 30M. (Probability of this actually being true, I'd say about 7/10).
We're also going head to head with City for Neymar, telling him we'll break any records for him. (Hmm, probably about a 7/10 that it's true we want him, but 0/10 that he's actually coming).
And, we want Ryan Bertrand from Southampton, and would have to pay about 20M for him (2/10 I'd reckon)

I think that regardless of United's interest in a specific player, I have serious doubts about the willingness of any player, especially
a younger one who is looking to their future, being fired up to sign on since things at the club, regardless of the truth of things, are
being slammed in the press as pretty much totally unsettled

If Roma terminated his contract then he could have signed for us outside the transfer window. But now? No thanks, he hasn't kicked a ball since last season. It'd take him at least a couple of months to get up to speed and match fitness. By then it'd be April and Shaw might be about back anyway. Let him jet off to LA. |
