Hello all. I thought I'd introduce myself. Rather than telling you all "I've been a Red all my life blah, blah, blah" I thought I'd tell you all why I'm a fan and why I'm here. I love the history and traditions of the club, the values, the fact that it is a Mancunian institution. Whilst I am in no way devaluing fans who live far far away from OT, I revel in the fact that I live half an hour away from the greatest football club there's ever been. A club that's proud of its roots and heritage. Not some fancy nouveau riche club with plastic flags and plastic fans showered in roubles or oil trying to buy success. We are a British Club with deep roots in Manchester, not some international cornucopia with no identity. We have been lucky enough to have been blessed with some of the greatest players the world (yes the world not just the UK) has EVER seen - Best, Charlton, Law, Robson, Cantona, Giggs, Scholes, Ronaldo, Rooney, De Gea....I hope we never forget any of that. Because that's why I love this club!

Edit: 18/1/16. Well, since I penned that above about potato head he scored the winner against the bin dipper scum so Rooney, cough, cough is on the same level as the character below......so far.

Look at the stats. Rooney is currently second only to Bobby Charlton in the table of all time goal scorers for the club. He is only 20 goals behind Sir Bobby, but has played 242 games LESS. I'd hazard a guess that ANY other club in the world would gladly have him too. I'm not sure why so many people are so down on him.

Holding the club to ransom.

Doing it again a few seasons later.

Getting treated differently to any other player woth constant piss poor performances yet getting paid 300k no matter what.

His scoring record is impressive ill give him that though. Just hope he gets 19 and no more. It'll be a travesty if he beats Charltons record.

This is absolutely the wrong place to be defending Wayne Rooney. Just saying

Stats do lie. Frequently. Liverpool had much better stats than us at the weekend for example. Who won? Any other club wouldn't gladly have him. That is stone cold fact. We tried to get the likes of Bayern, Barcelona, or Real interested when the cunt wanted to leave the second time and they said no.

Oh, and Sir Bobby wasn't a striker.
