I’m certainly not part of the Ole Out brigade as I’m pretty sure he’s swimming against an extremely vicious riptide. There’s absolutely no point, or sense in his criticising the club from within, “I’ve told the club who I’d like-we don’t talk about other players at different clubs” is about his limit. What he needs to do is to call a press conference ie at Hotel Football (for the look of sheer horror on Neville’s face as he watched aghast) ,publicly resign, and cite his reasons as to why he thinks the board and the owners have failed to support him. Or: Say nothing, continue to look increasingly uncomfortable at pressers, as journo’s inevitably pile in on why we’ve not bought player A or B, and carry on with the struggle. Whatever he does, he cannot afford to wait to be sacked, as the whip hand then conveniently falls back into the hands of the boards etc.

The only manager who called them out when he was here was Jose but on here he was criticised for being 19 points behind City.
Second wasn’t good enough then. But third is now.
33 points behind this season.
The management from Solskjaer and up should hang their heads in shame.

Whilst Mourinho did exactly the right thing by calling out Ed and those above him, I think he did this once he knew he was going to be on his bike...and unfortunately the atmosphere by then was so toxic and the football so dire that his position was untenable anyway...
It will take something nuclear to get this lot motivated to do something in the market to properly back any manager, regardless of status or reputation...
Having said all of that, I would still rather see Ole walk out and keep what dignity he may have left and publicly eviscerate Ed and the Gimps...he deserves a better legacy than what he is likely to leave...
I so hope that I am wrong and Ole goes on to glory with us but the chances are incredibly slim and would be in spite of the board, not because of it...

I can understand Ole not walking as he’s on top pay and it’s his livelihood.
But that still doesn’t stop him talking out against his bosses and the owners. They can sack him on them grounds and if he keeps doing what’s asked of him on the pitch the fans will be right behind him.
If he got sacked for speaking out the media and fans would surely burn Ed and the owners

Ole is in a tricky situation so in some ways what he doesn’t say can be as powerful as calling Woodward and the Glazers out. By merely failing to say how well he’s been backed, volumes can be spoken. Particularly as he’s been so positive. A ‘next question’ answer can do a lot of the work for him.

Passion gets the better of us and we'd love to see/hear him really nailing the board to the cross for it, but he can just deflect the questions by leaving it at No Comment and moving on. Easy to read between the lines there. Just really, really don't want to see the smile and the "We're working hard behind the scenes, not many players improve United so we have to make sure we're getting the right ones and those types of deals are very difficult to get over the line".

Aren't we tired of reading between the lines? The tedium of everything surrounding the state of things? Honestly, he should burn them and walk. If he doesnt, he will definitely get fucked this season and get sacked anyways and by then the narrative would be about him not being good enough. I'd much rather he change the narrative and light the status quo on fire. If he gets fired for it, Ed and Glazers may get it from the fans, and he gets a fat compensation. Either ways, he's not going to have much of a managerial career after he flops this season due to lack of investment.

I think transfer windows simply amplify how poorly we’re run under this man, but it’s throughout the year that he is truly failing. A well run club completes deals in the transfer window, it doesn’t first reach out to it’s targets to see whether or not a deal is possible in the window.
If you are going after a player like Sancho, you need to work on the deal months before the window even opens. We always scramble if there’s no release clause (even then Ed struggles) or the selling club wants to get rid of the player.

The main sign of how poorly run we are isn't the Sancho deal in my opinion.
I get that a deal like that takes time and there's a lot of things that need to get discussed, agreed, ticked off, etc. We talk about how Chelsea get their deals done no problem, yet they've apparently been "just" about to sign Havertz for about 3 months.
It's that we seem incapable on getting more than one thing at a time done. Chelsea's deal for Havertz is dragging on. Fair enough. So is ours for Sancho. 100M mega deals can do that. But they've went and got Chilwell and Werner signed up in the meantime, and probably Silva by the weekend too. We've done fuck all. If we had gotten a centre back, centre mid and striker signed up by now and it was just Sancho that was dragging then OK, that's acceptable, as long as the deal still ends up getting done.
But, what? We get Sancho at a slightly reduced price with 6 hours of the window left (if that indeed happens) and then go "Done! Saved 20M too. Brilliant. Now, lets try and sign the other 4 players we need in the remaining 6 hours"?

It seems so obvious to all of us so either we are missing something or Ed hasn’t learned a thing and continues to be incompetent... I wonder which one it is?
