Three of the top 6 and a huge game at Valencia. |

Not scary at all, unless you worry for the future of the sport as a whole.
All big football clubs are businesses these days, and unless you have oil money then balancing the books is a priority. Owners are there for their own profit, and if trophies or attractive football aren't thought to be increasing the revenue then they come second in importance. It happened at Arsenal and Liverpool for years. Football fans have become customers. Ed didn't invent this. He just fills the role when this trend has hit our club. We are unfortunate in the sense that we have to get used to it on the back of two glorious decades of unprecedented success. If Ed dies tomorrow it will be some other cunt taking care of making the owners happy. If they sell it will be another Ed or an Arab monarch trying get one over the guy from the tent down the dune.
