After the game yesterday it sounded like Mourinho is reluctant play him wide which is a shame. I don't quite understand this overprotectiveness from fans this season, all this talk of limelight and pressure it's not even on him now with the options we have. There is more reason to play him not less, he scored on his Derby debut and now he's not ready for a game like that? The kid lit it up yesterday and Jose needs to let him loose on the Berties. He's absolutely ready. I guess negative is we only have two centre forwards. 3 at best with Martial in there. I'd play 442 against City and have Rashford and Ibra up front. Miki on the right and Rooney makes way.

Rashford hasn't played many minutes this season. That is the main reason I don't think he'll be starting. Better to have him as an option on the bench so second half when legs are tiring he can use his terrifying pace to give City defenders hell for 20-30 minutes. Zlatan can soften them up for him.

| FOOTBALL NEWS06/09/2016 10:47, Report by Adam Marshall RASHFORD IN THE SPOTLIGHT AGAIN Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has another opportunity to show off his undoubted talents when England Under-21s face Norway in a European Championship qualifier later today (Tuesday, kick-off 17:45 BST).
The teenager came off the bench to score a memorable injury-time winner at Hull City in United's last Premier League outing and will be eager to feature in Saturday's Manchester derby as he was the only man to score in either meeting with the Blues last season. New England boss Sam Allardyce decided Rashford would be better served playing at the Colchester Community Stadium rather than being part of his first senior squad for Sunday's 1-0 win in Slovakia, and the 18-year-old will therefore make his maiden appearance for the Under-21s. Their coach Gareth Southgate commented: "You would think he had been with us for a longer period of time. That is testimony to the mentality he has arrived here with." Rashford, who has previously played for England at Under-20 level, will discuss his early years in the game and development at the Aon Training Complex in an exclusive interview to be published in the new issue of Inside United, on sale next week. Speaking of his days as a schoolboy, the teenager says: "The type of the player I want to be now is different to the type of player I wanted to be then. Meanwhile, another three of United's young England stars have had some game time in the international fixtures. The Under-20s had a 1-1 draw with Brazil behind closed doors with Axel Tuanzebe operating in midfield and Dean Henderson keeping goal in the second half. The two countries met again in Kidderminster on Sunday with Brazil winning 2-1. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson started while Tuanzebe was a late substitute. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2016/Sep/marcus-rashford-in-the-spotlight-again-as-man-utd-striker-prepares-for-england-u21s-debut.aspx

It's actually a shame he's English becaus if he keeps this up he's going to become England's next great hope and historically that hasn't worked out well for the players involved. I hope th club have surrounded him with steady heads and they can stop him from getting over exposed.

He just reminds me of Ruud. More like Andrew Cole for me, moves around the box like he did especially when he has the ball at his feet.
