He's 18 FFS, let's see how he develops once he's out of nappies and gets a run in the team. He's a joy to watch, that should be enough for now. It is enough for now. I think people are getting the wrong end of a simple stick here.

Yeah the conversation wasn't about people heaping pressure on him saying they expect him to win the Ballon d'Or, it was discussing whether he has attributes that past Ballon d'Or winners have/had, which means he COULD be a contender in the future.
Right now I'm sure everyone is just enjoying seeing him play and watching him grow as a player.

You've got to love the kid The 18-year-old was pictured cheering on his pals at Bacup Borough on Wednesday night Young Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was spotted watching pals play in a non-league match - and even paid his £5 admission fee. The 18-year-old, who is set to start in the Manchester derby this weekend after scoring a hat-trick for England Under-21s, was pictured at Bacup Borough in Rossendale on Wednesday night. Rashford , who recently bought his mum an £800,000 home, watched childhood friends Kyle Hendley and Ashley Paul Leather in action for Bacup against Charnock Richard in the Hallmark Security League First Division. He posed for selfies with supporters as he watched the away side run out 4-1 victors. Bacup manager Brent Peters, a United fan, says he was only made aware of Rashford's visit after arriving at the ground. He told Mirror Online : "I was told he was coming just before I addressed the team prior to the game, apparently he had just finished training. "From what I am told he just entered the ground like everyone else, but it soon spread like wild fire he was here. "Credit to him, he had loads of pictures taken with people and the kids loved it. It's not often the kids of Bacup see in the flesh such a superstar, so that meant a lot to them." He continued: "Just 24 hours earlier he was scoring a hat-trick for the Under-21s in front of the England manager and the next day he's signing autographs in front of the Bacup manager at the Brian Boys West View Stadium. "A Premiership star at the home of the famous Premiership pie!" www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/marcus-rashford-bacup-non-league-11859676

I love how grounded this kid is. A proper local lad with no fear. It's like something from the 60s

ZLATAN: RASHFORD'S TIME WILL COME Zlatan Ibrahimovic has preached patience when it comes to expectations surrounding Marcus Rashford, even though the experienced striker admits there will come a time when the youngster "will take over everything." The 18-year-old's story so far has been a quite remarkable one. Two goals on his first-team debut, two more on his Premier League bow, a Manchester derby winner last season, a goal in his first game for England’s senior side, a place in the Euro 2016 squad and a hat-trick on his England Under-21s debut. After entering the fray as a second-half substitute on Saturday, Rashford was only denied an equaliser against City when his shot deflected in off the Swede who, unfortunately, was in an offside position. As one of the most decorated players in the game today, Ibrahimovic knows quality when he sees it and, in an interview with MUTV, he talked about the quality he witnesses every day from Rashford, who, he says, has plenty of time on his side. "First of all, he’s 18, he’s still young. He has a lot of time," declared the Swedish forward. "I think the way you have to approach a player like that, where everyone is talking about the talent and what he’s able to do and what kind of potential he has, is to remember he still has a lot of time. It’s not like he needs to take over the world today, the club knows that, the coach knows that and the team knows that. "We know his quality and what he’s able to do. What the world is seeing now, we already know because we see it every day. There is no need to rush to push him and put him in the heat zone and put a lot of pressure on him because that can have the opposite effect. Time by time, he will take over everything. It’s about having patience." Ibrahimovic added that he will do all he can to support Rashford, insisting: "I’ll help him every day, him and all the others, in any way I can. I’m happy it gives an effect but, even if I was not here, they would still do good." www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2016/Sep/zlatan-ibrahimovic-hails-marcus-rashford-but-calls-for-patience-with-the-youngster.aspx?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=ManUtd

| FOOTBALL NEWS 13/09/2016 09:16, Report by Adam Marshall RASHFORD: HOW RONALDO INSPIRED ME
Marcus Rashford has explained to Inside United, the official Manchester United magazine, how Cristiano Ronaldo inspired him growing up at the club. Real Madrid star Ronaldo left Old Trafford in 2009 after collecting a third successive Premier League winner's medal and, although Rashford was only 11, the striker was in awe of the Portuguese icon. "When Cristiano Ronaldo came to United, he was the one who everyone looked up to," Rashford told Inside United. "The thing that impressed me the most was the fact he was only young when he came into the side and he wanted to be the best player in the side. "He worked hard every single day, you saw him in the gym every single day and the results came on the pitch. He openly wanted to be the best player in the world." When the teenager was asked if Ronaldo's single-mindedness impressed him, Rashford replied: "You have to have an approach like that – all the best players in the world do. It’s not arrogance or anything like that, it’s the mindset you need to achieve things."
