Hello to all MUFC fans, I am Sciencelover (23) a newbie to the realm that is Republik of Mancunia. I through most of my childhood been a Cricket (watched my 1st match in 1999) and F1 racing enthusiast but then came the year 2008 that I introduced myself (under my friend's suggestion) to football by watching 2008 EUROS and a little bit of Premier League Football where I just felt myself attracted to the Red Devils ( Not only because red is my favorite color but also because of the attacking free flowing football they play). Then I watched their next season too. My friend although is a staunch Madrista but I continued watching PL football 'cause I was I really attracted by their colorful team jerseys , excellent camerawork and also because the famous players I knew( As I said was just intro. to the game so wasn't really aware of the many famous players that played in other leagues including: La Liga, Serie A,etc) played mostly in premier league but then my focus again shifted from club football to inter. cricket in 2010 and couldn't watch the 2010 although I continued following the Reds progress in the league through newspaper's websites. Then watched 2010 FIFA WC & I was back into football. Then again I started watching club football through later part of the 2011-2012 PL season. This was followed by a little watching of the 2012-2013 PL season and I completely missed the next season because of studies (had a tough year) but didn't miss out on the 2014 FIFA WC. In the year 2014 I watched the excellent documentary "Class of 92" and got seriously engrossed by the team its history , style of play, dedicated versatile players with excellent technique and brilliant footballing minds mostly developed in our very own academy , wanted by clubs worldwide(especially R.M. ). This was the doc. that really got my interested into any club football featuring MUFC. After this I also watched Manchester United History 1872-2002 (Documentary) film. Since then I've been watching most of the MUFC matches home or away season or pre-season. Hail Manchester United.

Firstly hello and welcome . Secondly ease down on the font. Thirdly do not use your last term on here. It's very offensive. Cheers.

Ok I will be cautious next time. I did the same with font size buddy (3) when I first joined and it was mentioned. I then edited my opening post and reduced the font size (2). You can do the same and amend that dreaded word and replace it with "Hail Manchester United" or "Hail Man United", I did not put that dreaded word in though in my new member's thread, I knew better.

You started following us because of our free flowing, attacking football?
Boy were you ever sold down the river!

Really shocked to see the way Van Gaal has handled our second season. Our game against Scousers was just a reflection of how the things have gone down for the Red devils this season. When the "Louis Van Gaal" was appointed our manager I was really optimistic that our fortunes may be turning around for good, not beacause he had a good records at all the domestic clubs he had coached in the Europe but for what he had done for the improvement of the Dutch football team for I and the whole world had witnessed their consistent performance at the WC 2014. He formed a squad that had a good mix of experienced and young players. That team was solid in defence and ruthless in attack with the likes of Robben, Van Persie, Depay heading the frontline. It also featured midfielders like Daley Blind, Wesley Sneijder, Nigel de Jong. Although they couldn't manage to win their WC tie against Argentina but they didn't look like any less a team then the Argentinian or the German team at the WC. This got my hopes high and I started to think that if he could model our team on the lines of Dutch squad we could have been playing in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. This high were my hopes of Van Gaal being the illusive coach we were trying to find post Moyes but now after most of the second season is over I think I was delusional , now we cannot repeat the same kind of feat of having a coach for anything more than 5 years. Today the game of football has become very dynamic and with the kind of state of the art technology like video analysis and progressive biomechanical scientific methods being used by the teams worldwide. Ones methods are at continuous risk of exposure and becoming obsolete in the current game scenario. Now after this season's end for what I think & wish that the Glazers family should have a meeting with all the United legends who are up and available for supporting, preserving and nurturing of our football heritage & take their opinions and views on the current condition of the club and what kind of changes they could bring about in our academy, team selection (PL A side, U21)scouting system and management to take our team in a forward direction with a long sighted objective of winning certain number of games at the end of each season or getting to top 3 of PL, reaching last 8 of the UEFA Champions league in the 1st year of the new management and winning the PL and maybe reaching last 4 of UEFA Champions League in the following season, etc. All I am tring to say is that they they should have a definite roadmap for restoring first their British ,then European and world dominance amongst clubs of different leagues. This kind of resurgence is the only option to restore our team's lost glory and bring back the fear factor in the minds of our opposition teams.
