Andy Cole. Scored a huge amount of goals. Could play with his back to goal, could link play up. Was a great athlete. Gets quite forgot about when discussing the treble. The Midfield gets most the plaudits & the attacking 4 as a whole get credit but he was the best of that 4. I'd build the team around him if we had him now & he'd be Englands main forward (Did he even play in Euro 96? great attacking options then). Who is your choice?

Steve Coppell is a player you hear very little about, even when discussing great wide players for United. Played 322 times, only a handful of players have ever played more. 42 caps for England as well. Gordon Hill played on the opposite wing and he was a superb little player too.
Nobby Stiles too. Best, Law, Charlton hog the headlines but he was a great little bulldog in midfield, doing the dirty work to let those players have the freedom to express themselves. Could do with someone like the toothless wonder in there now.

"Choccy" Brian McClair for me. Never moaned if he was a sub and just came on when needed and done the job, I liked this guy a lot. Played midfield or as a striker. 1987/1998 App:551 Goals:202

Carrick could be brilliant but he could also be quite shit sometimes. When he was on it he could run a game from midfield. Wes Brown was underrated I think, when fit he was as good a centre half as you could find. Could play right back also, which he done throughout the double winning season of 2008.

Who is your choice? tbh i remember that 95/96 season and Coley had an absolute nightmare season by his standards.. I aint no England fan by any means, but they did have great striking options at the time ahead of him - Shearer, Sheringham, Ferdinand, Fowler. Coley only came out of his shell at United when Cantona left

Underrated? Everyone rated Denis! Never gets the plaudits he should have had... consistently the best left in the PL era, ahead of Evra, Cole, Winterburn, Pearce!!
