So yeah. Pick up to 3 games that you feel were the worst results leading to us not getting 4th; the games that were the biggest setbacks and should have been wins more than any other. Not necessarily 3 losses; for example, dropping 2 points at the last vs. Chelsea was arguably more gutting than the loss to Spurs, which was expected imo.
Whilst a single point in any of them would have gotten us CL, there were obviously some that were more disappointing than others. I've included every game where we dropped points this year, so make your pick!

I've gone for 0-0 Newcastle, 1-2 Norwich and 1-1 Chelsea. The first two was dropping 4 points AT HOME to relegated sides, whilst the 1-1 at Chelsea was such a pathetic late lapse in concentration in a game we really should have won.
Honourable mentions: 2-3 vs. West Ham, 1-2 vs. Bournemouth, 0-1 vs. Southampton, 3-3 vs. Newcastle, 1-2 vs. Swansea.

I've decided to go with Arsenal 0-3 and Spurs 0-3. I've never been so mad at a United game, especially down to the way we folded in such a short period in both games.

Got to go with West Ham. The ball was in our court and we bottled it.

I was much angrier at other games, like Swansea (the game that finally got me 100% in the 'Rooney Out' camp) and Norwich. Arsenal I knew we'd lose when I saw the team selection, and Spurs I knew we'd lose days beforehand. Its the losing games we should be winning easily that gets me the most.

Newcastle 0-0 H
Norwich 1-2 H
Sunderland 1-2 A
8 pts dropped against relagation fodder. Home defeat to 1 of 2 which fell.
Shambles!

Leicester 1-1 away was my automatic first pick. Our approach that day was pathetic, went into it acting like we were scared of them. To top it off, we allowed Vardy to take Ruud's record. Fuck you Louis, that is a fucking sin.
West Ham bottle job and losing to fucking Norwich at Old Trafford make up my three. Any dropped points to Newcastle enrage me beyond belief as well.

Norwich at home has to take top honors, losing to the team that finishes 2nd bottom, at OT?
Newcastle 0-0 was shit as well but as a tiny little bit of in fairness, Rooney did have a perfectly good goal disallowed, so we could/should have pulled off an epic Van Gaal special 1-0 with a competent ref.

2-3 West Ham because of the importance of the game and we couldn't hold onto the lead
3-3 Newcastle again 3-1 up and we couldn't hold on against that shit
1-2 Norwich The prick should have been sacked that day!

I don't think its specific results because every club has the occasional off day. It is our consistently poor away record especially against bottom-half of the table teams that has been our undoing and that has been a constant all season injuries or no injuries. It is ridiculous in away games against Crystal Palace, Newcastle, WBA, Swansea, Stoke, Bournemouth, Sunderland we managed a mere 2 points from a possible 21. Especially when we managed 19 points in the reverse fixtures.
