Saw something today saying Jose is pushing again for the Monaco CM Babayko.

Jose 'i want these players in' glazers 'ed the books have to balance, no champs league no big signings' woodward' jose let me see what i can do, maybe we wait until the summer'
thats really the long and short of it. it was always going to be a clear the decks game before we get additions, i will say it now for that reason young should go, he isn't getting games really, being played as a fullback when we have a young able man in TFM that can do that job whilst gaining further experience. the big wages off allows for one signing doubt we will get 2 in. the original plan was sell Rojo and get another centerback in but he has shown form. i would say we need a centre mid player as we have 5 playing for 3 spots, a carrick type is clearly what Jose wants and it makes sense to get the likes of lindelof and Bakayoko now, lots of games for them to come in and slowly integrate into and then hit the ground at full pelt next season

Flog Smalling somewhere. See if Moyes wants some cast offs, he's doing his usual of signing down from old clubs.

In the past I'd have disagreed with this, but as mentioned the other day, Smalling's ability on the ball is that bad that I don't think he can be a long term option. That been said, I don't think Rojo is either, he's looked decent recently but still very susceptible to making a fuck up. I'd be tempted to sack both off by the end of the summer and have Bailly, new CB, Jones and Tuanzebe as our CB quartet.

Get rid of both. Sign better.

Only thing about flogging to Moyes is apparently they have fuck all money. Ed's seemingly turned a corner with selling and we can't go back now. Smalling is worth at least £20m in the current market - England international etc.

Get rid of both. Sign better. that really is the right answer. Mike looked solid last season but still showed the odd gaff in him, however I cant see anyone offering what we would want for him. Rojo on the other hand we had offers, we wanted him to go and he wouldn't budge, come summer as it stands nothing has changed but he might be more inclined to leave knowing we are trying to get rid of him again. I was talking to someone about this earlier and they couldn't understand that the squad has to many average players, Jose must be in shock how some of these players were signed, slowly he is correcting this and I think in the summer he will complete that side of the job, hopefully we get in the champions league so he gets the money needed to buy top quality additions.

Transfers business in and out definitely has a more professional business look about it with Mourinho. He may have one or two he's let go in the past that have done well but he operates really well in the modern market. Moyes and Van Gaal were total idiots.
Good luck to Morgan, Memphis and Young( likely leaving on a decent price too) but we have probably recouped as much as we could possibly get for what is in effect mediocre. We are going to let go more in the summer, so doing this business now is great and becomes less of a fire sale in the summer
With the blesssing of the Gods we could offload Rooney, Smalling and or Rojo, Fellaini, Darmian for good money too. Schweinsteiger needs to move on in the summer. Carrick is at or close to the end now. By the Summer we may off load as many as 8 players including this window, all of whom are on high wages, so it should be a really exciting Summer for us.

Not against Young staying, experienced head in the squad, and an extra body given the amount of games we could potentially be involved in until the end of the season.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, we need to balance the books a bit, especially if we keep stumbling against the likes of Stoke in the league.
