Think that may be us playing hard, who knows for sure. I think someone will stump up for him. He wants to go and the guy isn't playing at all

Raising almost £40M in January is pretty impressive stuff especially as we didn't sell anyone to China. We've got an extra £40M to spend in the summer and we got rid of two of Van Gaal's flops and I get the feeling Jose is going to continue to spend wisely. Bastian will step into Schneiderlin's shoes as a back up holding midfielder and I am happy we kept Young who has done a much better job on the left wing than Depay has and can also provide added cover at right back and left back.

That would suck. Still in injury hangover Valencia had it for a few seasons as did Falcao. We are short on left backs anyway. I see no reason to sell him at all. If Jose doesn't rate him then sign a new left back & keep Shaw.

Seems Jose and Luke have a past, and not a good one. I think Jose obviously knows Shaw has great quality, he has said so, also looks like maybe Luke isn't doing what he needs to do to live up to it. Short of watching training and living with it every day, hard to be able to judge. I don't recall seeing any of his teammates jumping to defend Luke, which could indicate there is some truth in what is being said. I tend to believe the manager, because it doesn't seem that the relationship he has with his players is based on "fear". Perhaps Luke needs to step it up.

Thought it would be interesting so see who we feel should be shown the door by Jose. That's an interesting question. So its seems there is now a clean slate but how aer things likely to be come the end of the season. Defence Valencia - I think his Utd playing days are now over. Shaw - The next five months are probably make or break for him I expect some of the other defensive suspects will come good again. Midfield Fred- I'm sure he will come good and play a major part for United over the coming years McTominey- Will probably drop out of the reckoning Matic - Will be a major plus for us especially in European games Forwards Lukaku - I cant see United aiming to play the type of game he needs to be a success given the other attacking personnel we have. So I think he will soon be gone. Sanchez- he will likely come good now with the new spirited approach to the game Martial - still needs to toughen up and be more consistent with his obvious talent James Wilson - He will probably be sold

Shaw recently signed a new long-term contract. He’s going nowhere, nor should he.

If they can do that then they will get the opportunity to play for the club next season. If they do it over six games and then drop back they won't play for the club next season.” I highly suspect this is not our policy but it damn well should be. Playing for this club is a privilege, not a right. Earn it or get out.

Playing for this club is a privilege, not a right. Earn it or get out. Too right. There's a lot in the squad who could learn from someone like Ashley Young; he's not the best but he's worked his arse off and earned his reward, even going to a World Cup semi final. If more talented players had his attitude and application they could be world beaters.
