I'm particularly happy with this transfer. Right after ruling Godín out, he was my first choice to partner Mike as I exhaustingly posted here, especially after his Europa League performances The kid has something special, give him time. Edit: get Vidic to coach him and the rest of our defenders. |

With a full press season under his belt he will be well drilled. Sure to make mistakes but I'm quite excited to have him on board. Everyone keeps sending me his mistake vs Torres but I bet he will learn from that.
Him, Smalling and TFM with Blind as a squad player. I'm definitely more confident for the year ahead.

How have people not heard of a Centre Half who played for the 4th best team in La Liga? Because he plays for the 4th best team in La Liga. Apparently everyone should have time to know the players from these teams dontcha' know? |

How have people not heard of a Centre Half who played for the 4th best team in La Liga? By not being a footballing anorak? I have better things to do than stay up till 4 in the morning because Fox are showing Villarreal vs Getafe. I've heard of about half a dozen centre halfs in Spain, and he wasn't one of them. If Jose likes him that's enough for me. We needed a strong centre back and he's got one in, and he's only 22. Lovely. |

Just watched the highlights of him and he can play for sure! Fair enough he might have an error in him like doing a stepover and losing it, but we shouldn't fully take that out of him, just sharpen it. He looks comfortable on the ball. Made Marcelo look like Blind when he jogged off with it. He reads the game superb staying on his feet for as long as he can and only sliding at the last chance. Looks as if he's gonna dive in to a big tackle then just flicks it away. Love it. But can also tackle properly, hard and fair. I'm very excited by him already. Looks to be a great purchase. Smalling Bailly and Shaw. Talk about pace and youth at the back
