Hope he does come back in January for a stint. The leader we need on the pitch because lets face it Young isn't one.
Also he deserved to leave under better conditions than he did after the first season he had.

Also he deserved to leave under better conditions than he did after the first season he had. leader on and off the pitch. young might be a leader off the pitch and we need those but him starting is bad. basically the only leaders we have are de gea, maguire, young and mata. and two of them arent good enough anymore to play regularly. question also needs to be asked if zlatan can still play regularly in this league and i doubt it. but if we`re smart we dont have to use him all the time. just having him in training and in the locker room alone is worth it and he can still offer enough fear factor on the pitch. absolute no brainer to bring him back if he would be up for it. fuck the "only getting players for the future". look at juve, they are stacked with older players and true leaders like buffon, chiellini, bonucci, khedira, matuidi, ronaldo, mandzukic etc. some of them still playing regularly, others not but to have their experience around is worth so much. we have a young team but hardly any personalities. bring back zlatan, get mandzukic in january and for fucks sake a midfielder. i was just thinking recently how much of a joy it must be to manage that juve squad. stacked with experienced heads who seem to be ok that their time is up, massive talent all over the pitch with class players from goalkeepers to strikers, its ridiculous to look at their squad. you could probably argue that 7-8 players who usually sit on the juve bench and hardly get any game time would make it into our starting 11. thats what big teams are about. juve is definately due a champions league. the squad depth they have is up there with city and bayern. |

Young is not a leader. Never has been. No matter how hard he tries, the poor guy just is not. We do not have a single captain in this team. Maguire, should he prove himself, can be a candidate. But as of now, there is not a single one.

I remember some on here being happy when he left. I was one of them , the idea was the biggest wealthiest club in the world will identify and buy a proper striker to replace him with priority. Guess i didnt take into account Mr woodwards incompetence. |

Zlatan was great for us - both , on the pitch and as has been pointed out , in the Dressing Room also
We do lack a Leader , that is common knowledge and our intensity , will to win and drive seems to have lessened somewhat since he left - just an observation , of course
I would actually have him back in the January Transfer Window - simply dues to the reasons I gave...Ability , Leadership , a Presence and that knack of scoring important Goals
