Its a great signing, big and strong, he can finish and create, I doubt he will find the EPL as easy as the French league but he's a martial arts expert and has amazing fitness levels.

| FOOTBALL NEWS02/07/2016 08:06, Report by Adam Marshall COLE: ZLATAN CAPTURE IS A REAL COUP Manchester United legend Andy Cole has welcomed the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swedish striker completed his move to Old Trafford on Friday. Ibrahimovic, 34, is reunited with Jose Mourinho after their success together at Inter Milan and former Reds goalscorer Cole is a huge admirer of his fellow striker. "I'm one of his biggest fans," Cole told MUTV. "He's a maverick who speaks his mind and that's my kind of guy. He's a footballer who scores goals and has achieved everything. "I think he'll make a massive impact here, just with his presence and the way he is. I think the fans will love him and appreciate him. He is a big-game guy. If you look at his CV, wherever he has gone, he has won championships and scored goals. "He got 50 goals in France last season [in Ligue 1, the French Cup and Champions League] and, while people might say it's not the strongest league, regardless he's done it. Can he score goals in the Premier League? Yes. Can he make a big impact at Old Trafford? I honestly do believe so. "I think it's a massive coup, I really do believe that, as he's such a big presence with what he can bring to Old Trafford." www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2016/Jul/andy-cole-says-signing-of-zlatan-ibrahimovic-is-a-real-coup-for-manchester-united.aspx

Absolutely buzzing. You could do a lot worse than having Schweinsteiger and Zlatan in the dressing room to help guide the likes of Rashford, Martial, Memphis, Lingard, Januzaj, Herrera, Bailly, etc.
Some semblance of order restored.

www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/07/02/man-utd-news-zlatan-ibrahimovics-medical-results-among-the-best/Manchester United have been taken aback by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s outstanding medical results this week, which the club believe vindicate their decision to sign the 34-year-old on a one year deal. The free agent, who finally announced his intention to join United in a blizzard of social media publicity on Thursday, underwent a medical at the club on Friday where he was tested as per any new signing. Telegraph Sport understands that the club’s medical department considered his performance to be among the best they have ever seen Ibrahimovic has long dismissed concerns about his age and has said in the recent past that he believes he is getting better. There were concerns about how he might adjust to the demands of the Premier League after four years at the all-powerful Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. Ibrahimovic has been signed by Jose Mourinho in order to give his side the leadership qualities he believes that the current United squad is lacking. The Swede is regarded by his new manager as being able to fulfil the same role as Didier Drogba did when he returned to the club in the title-winning 2014-2015 season and played 40 games and also offered leadership and experience. Mourinho is making a big step in severing ties with Ryan Giggs, the senior voice in the dressing room as player and coach for the last two decades. Ibrahimovic will be regarded as the manager’s proxy among the players and also expected to contribute on the field. There is the option of a one-year extension of his deal, worth around £250,000-a-week, if the move proves to be a success. Mourinho will begin work formally at Carrington on Monday and so far the expectation is that his introductory press conference will be on Tuesday morning. Although the Portuguese can change his plans, the intention is that he will address much of the criticism that has been aimed at him since he left Chelsea in December. Mourinho felt that he kept to his promise in a statement issued one day after his sacking by Chelsea that he would respect other working managers by not attending high-profile games. He also feels he has kept his counsel over criticism that he has not developed young players over the course of his career and will address these issues when he speaks at Old Trafford.

Apologies if already posted..
Ryan Giggs believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic 's 'class' will lift Manchester United - and young striker Marcus Rashford.
The Reds legend is set to confirm his departure from the club he has served as a player and coach for the last 29 years.
But he is excited at the arrival of veteran forward Ibrahimovic.
The Swede has signed a one-year deal to become Jose Mourinho’s second signing.
And Giggs, who is poised to leave Old Trafford, believes it is a hugely positive move.
“Okay he’s going into the Premier League from the French league which is weaker but he’s someone who, as a player, you see him walk into the dressing room and you see a winner, you see a character and you’re seeing a bit of class.
“As a team-mate it lifts you. These are the signings that will lift the Manchester United team and that’s what you want.”
Ibrahimovic's arrival could limit opportunities for Rashford, who enjoyed a stunning breakthrough under Louis van Gaal last season.
But Giggs says the 18-year-old can benefit from Ibrahimovic’s depth of experience.
"You want to learn and you want to watch first-hand not only in matches but how he conducts himself.
“By all accounts he’s a very good pro, he’s a winner like I’ve said and Marcus can only learn from someone like that. He’s world class.”

| FAN NEWS AND BLOGS03/07/2016 09:00, Report by Ryan Grant OPINION: HOW ZLATAN COMPARES TO CANTONA "That imperious look, theatrical swagger and poise."
This description, taken from our review of Eric Cantona's glittering Manchester United career, befits very few footballers, past and present. Rarely are we treated to players of such a special disposition, whose personalities earn them cult hero status in the stands, and whose self-assurance can be harnessed and crafted into brands of their own. Not many depart Old Trafford with a moniker like 'The King' but, in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, confirmed as the club’s second signing of the summer on Friday, we may have found a near match. Plucked from across the Pennines in 1992, Cantona arrived in Manchester from rivals Leeds United unfazed by the prospect of playing at the Theatre of Dreams, instead taking the challenge in his stride. The Frenchman was credited with a rapid upturn in the Reds' fortunes, with many citing his introduction as a key moment in sparking what would become a long period of success. It wasn't just his immense talent which won the hearts of the faithful, though. With Cantona's ability came a certain unpredictability, he was an edge-of-your-seat kind of character, with or without the ball at his feet. The club’s long-standing affection for flair players is no secret, and Eric was certainly one of those. Everything from the striker’s upturned collar and cryptic quotes to his knack for turning a match on its head brought with it the curiosity and admiration of fellow players and supporters alike, and it’s that nonchalant brilliance which fans can now look forward to again next season with Zlatan. Like Cantona, Ibrahimovic is a massive personality with unquestionable pedigree, and a confidence matched in size only by his footballing brilliance. Granted there are differences in playing style and Zlatan joins the Reds at a later stage of his career than Eric did, but this is a man who shows no signs of slowing down. He scored fifty goals for club and country in 2015/16, won Ligue 1’s Golden Boot and was named Sweden’s Footballer of the Year for the ninth consecutive season. A host of former players, including ex-United stars Peter Schmeichel, Phil Neville and Ray Wilkins, have opined that Ibrahimovic is a perfect fit for the club and could be a talismanic figure like Cantona. This is arguably the first time since Eric's shock retirement in May 1997 that so many of his traits will have been apparent in a new arrival. These are players who make a mark, and it’s that raw talent and palpable self-assurance possessed by both which makes this move all the more intriguing. Cantona was the final piece in Sir Alex Ferguson’s title-winning puzzle, and Ibrahimovic could be just as integral in Jose Mourinho's first campaign. The Swede arrived with a simple message - "it's Zlatan time" - and there's a sense this could mark the beginning of a new era at Old Trafford. History is often a good indicator, and this is a move which promises if nothing else, entertainment both on and off the pitch. One thing's for sure, Zlatan will be backing himself to succeed. Let’s sit back and enjoy the ride.
