If the Theo Von, Lex Fridman and Joe Rogan demographics are going to determine the American presidency, then America needs to shut down and start over. I harked back a bit - Polymarket got the 2020 election wrong. They predicted Trump bigly. They also predicted a Hilary win in 2016. Its quite hard to call this one though. I somehow get the feeling Americans are hesitant to allow a woman occupying the White House. I'm a bit confused by you picking these two. Both people come off as down the middle and preach logic.... remember Rogan was a Bernie supporter and has said on numerous occasions the both candiates are bad. Lex Fridman I haven't listen to much but what I've he comes over as very down the middle logical person. Anyone leaning heavily to only one side and calling one side nazi's, communists etc etc needs their head checked. The truth of the matter is both are power hungry liars and doing any and everything to keep that power. They are using the middle and low class as pawns.

Yeah, if Joe Rogan and Fridman are bastions of logic then I'm an aardvark. I like my journalists to actually hold people to account rather than just sit there and listen to whatever misinformation and nonsense the interviewee spews on air. Those 2 are out there to make a quick buck under an umbrella of free speech. Free speech is free, but these two make it cheap and dirty. Also, what is "low class"? You mean the working class? Jesus.

They’re not journalists, they’re podcasters who aren’t trying to tell you their or anyone else’s word is gospel like main stream media does. They have various guests on for long form discussion that millions of people enjoy. If you go back years on this forum many of you discussed how great Rogans show is, how fantastic of an interviewer he is, now he’s an enemy to mostly one side of the isle? I wonder why. Are you upset at main steam media for propagating lies and fear monger about covid and other topics. If not you should be. There’s no harm in their shows. Especially Fridmans, he has on tech people mostly and takes a challenging interview from time to time.

E.g. he invited 5/6 democrats to sit down for a talk after interviewing Trump. I listen to his podcast, he doesn't really interview big political/pop stars. I listened to the entire Trump interview, not once does he let Trump sidetrack the interview into slander. Consistently pulls him back to real questions. I was on RoM during Covid defending Rogan against a literal media campaign to cancel the guy. Still think he's one of the most normal, middle of the road dudes. He's interviewed some of the most interesting people, some more than once.

It's classified as Upper. Middle. Lower. Class always has been... middle and lower class is "working class" regardless because of how expensive everything is here. They aren't journalist, you know they are journalist but you call them that anyway. They both bring people on to get understanding of peoples pov and to say Rogan doesn't hold people accountable in his podcast laughable honestly. There has been more than a handful of people that have come on there that have been by him.... Most recently Terrence Howard. He even brought him back on the podcast with a profeesional in the subject to hold him accountable.

That went well for Trump.
If his intentions were to be even worse in a debate than Biden was a few months ago.

She did a great job at goading him and allowing him to just make himself look and sound like an incoherent loon. Which he obviously is.

Love how the fact checking went exclusively in one direction The moderator interrupted Trump 11 times, not once for Harris. Felt like a 2 vs 1 situation at times. I think everyone knows that Harris is the MSM candidate, but thought ABC would be more impartial. The Biden/Trump CNN debate from 2020 didn't see Tapper interrupt/intervene at all in this way, and that's saying a lot. This will be close, I expect Harris / Dems to comfortably win the popular vote but the electoral college will be hard to call!

The man was talking absolute horseshit and lying through his teeth. I'm shocked it was only 11 times. Tapper earlier this year was an absolute disgrace, allowing Trump to spew whatever lies and nonsense he felt like. What do you think a moderator should do? Stand by and watch as things descend into a cocktail of chaos and farce? For once moderators did their jobs. They're not supposed to be bystanders they're supposed to bring order to the debate. If you've got any instances of Harris lying which went unchecked or unmoderated I'd love to know them. Calling a moderator "partial" for doing his job and not allowing someone to get away with lies and nonsense is so weird. This isn't a podcast. It's serious, adult business which has vast ramifications.

I don't have a dog in this fight, those were simply my objective take-aways from watching the debate. It felt like Trump was being interrogated, asked to defend positions, vs Harris being asked for her views. Trump forced to stick to the question, Harris allowed to ramble on about her childhood + growing up. Let's see how this all plays out!

You don't have to repeat that you don't have a dog in this fight . I didn't imply anywhere that you do. It's hard to claim Trump was being interrogated when he answered a grand total of zero questions asked by the moderators. When he strayed or tried to lie his way out, they stopped him. Nowt wrong with that. I do agree with you, I too didn't want to hear much about Harris' childhood. I was having a vastly more enjoyable time watching Trump talk about the pet-eating immigrants in Springfield.

A simple example - Harris claimed Trump will ban abortion if he wins the presidency.
This is clearly false and Trump is on record saying he will leave it to the states. Surely easy enough to fact check that?
Honestly, my dislike of both candidates doesn't get in the way of seeing a different set of gloves were used for Trump vs Harris.
Still, Republican voting numbers are notoriously under-represented in MSM polls, so will be interesting to see how the swing states play out.
