Hey world. You seemed like kind of a cool place. Some parts of you sucked, but overall, earth, you were alright.

Well, tonight we done went and did a silly thing. Yeah, we elected Trump. I just want you (the world) to know that we know we are a joke and a disgrace. I only hope this buffoon doesn't start a nuclear war. America has long been a very divided place of two distinct philosophies. We underestimated the stupid people in this election, although, to be fair, Clinton was a terrible candidate and as far back as her announcement some people (like me) said she'd never win.

I wish I was proved wrong tonight. It's utter existential despair I feel tonight as my children sleep, having gone to bed before the race was called. What kind of world will they awake to tomorrow?

Trump has already vowed to round up and deport 11 million Hispanic immigrants. Those are numbers that would make Hitler and Stalin proud. I hope we don't destroy Europe or the world under this feckless moron.

California did not vote for Trump, but I am still going to apologize now for whatever horrors await us.

Hi .. First of all, thank you for your California votes. 55 delegates less and it'd have been far worse.

Allow me to say I thought Al Gore's defeat would be the worst one endured by the Democratic Party – I honestly thought the Republicans would pass through reformulation after their rejection of Trump and the monster they've created and rejected, realising they went from conservatives to political dementia a couple of decades ago. Kasich, albeit not ideal, was their best candidate since Gerald Ford, a step to get rid of the pure dementia that took over the Party. Wrong.

I'm personally not surprised Trump got elected, just sad and disappointed. Far right-wing parties have grown significantly in Europe (FPO in Austria grew 51% for example), and I am afraid to say this is a global phenomenon. Venezuela, for example, went from a hybrid regime to a full dictatorship a couple of days ago.


Most worrisome prospects for the international community are:

• Trump–Putin partnership to support Assad, the Ukraine situation, the deal with Iran made by Obama over them attaining nuclear weapons being dismantled or restructured, the endorsement to both Japan and South Korea developing nuclear arsenals and the NATO question due to his mentioned proximity with Vladimir Putin.

• The end of TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) deal and NAFTA changes.

• The fear he'll really impose the punitive 45 per cent tariffs on goods from China (causing a trade war)

• His promises to cancel Paris Agreements and the impacts it could have on the COP-22. A balanced environment is fundamental to put basic human rights into practice. But thank the lord Global Warming is a Chinese invention.

And you still have to deal with the vast majority republican legislative that can compromises checks and balances, giving him even more power, the changes at the Supreme Court and of course, the social impact. I'm sorry for the minorities living there.

My final message is to an encouragement – call out on his lies and eventual authoritarianism.

DNC fucked themselves. They alienated half their voters, nominated one of the worst candidates ever, then put her up against someone who has a cult following when populist politics and anti-establishment are gaining traction globally. In spite of this, I thought Hillary would probably still win, but I'm not at all surprised that she didn't, to be honest.

With the Republicans in charge of the White House and congress, and with at least one but probably more Supreme court judges to be appointed by Trump, I honestly think things are going to get pretty bad. A lot of the good work of the last 8 years is going to be undone. And I can see minorities, the poor, LGBTQ people and womens reproductive rights all being set back by decades.

All joking aside, I couldn't give a rats arse about politics. Its all horseshit anyway but why does everything ultimately come down to the "race card".

Saw a video earlier saying it was a "whitelash" and that race is a major factor (amazingly the guy was black so it figures). But why doesn't everything in this day and age have to use the "race card" as some sort of excuse.
