Sarin nerve agent was used in the air strikes in Syria two days back. If so, the Assad regime needs to be put down like the rabid animal it is. I don't buy Russian and Assad narrative of it being the result of a chemical stockpile exploding. Not a little bit. Those fucking bastards need to burn for their war crimes. I saw some videos of kids foaming at the mouth and gasping for breath and it was like a hammer at my conscience. How do those vile creatures sleep at night knowing they have scarred an entire generation of people in that country irreparably. Where's the evidence it was Assad though? Don't forget, the French, British and Americans all observed and verified all chemical weapons of the Assad regime have been destroyed... Not that I'm condoning the actions, but lets wait until someone can provide irrefutable proof. Let's not forget we went into Iraq over non-existent WMDs. While I do agree with what you say about irrefutable proof, in these situations we rarely get that. Verification is so difficult and rarely is done with certainty, which is a problem. In 2013 the Assad regime was responsible for a similar chemical attack if I'm right. That's what makes me think that this is also an attack perpetrated by them. I also think it's highly unlikely that the rebels somehow managed to manufacture and stockpile sarin. I don't know much about chemistry , but if , as per the Russian narrative, the stockpiles we're attacked by conventional means of air strikes , wouldn't the explosions and fire have incinerated the gas itself ? Or does fire have no effect on it. How could that explosion of a stockpile have such a wide area of effect ? Because this seems more like a dispersion from air rather than dispersion from a single location on the ground. So many questions and doubts .

Meanwhile, the OAS hasn't been able to intervene in any way in the situation Venezuela is facing. Things have worsened over there (and one would think that's not possible) ever since Maduro decided it was time to shut down their fragile electoral system. Women sterilisation, famine, lack of hygiene products, lack of medicine, wave of urban violence and shortage of energy is just some of their problems at the moment, all of them to an extreme degree. I clicked on the hashtag #MercadoSocial, where they trade goods in a municipality over there (i.e food for medicine) and it's madness. I've never seen such a big migratory movement out of there before.

The moment Chavez took ill, the place was doomed. They tried to go against the powers-that-be in their very own backyard. that never works out in the long run, as Cuba can attest.

Good news for America imo. Bannon is being demoted. Trump is an unintelligent arsehole but Bannon seems to be a calculated, smart prick. He doesn't seem to get on with a lot of Trumps closest people.

Well shit. Bombing the crap out of Syria. He warned Russia first to see if there wasn't any Russians in that military base. Nonetheless, I don't know to what extent Russia is going to tolerate the US sending their missiles on Assad. Putin is demanding the UN Security Council to meet after tonight according to some Russian media.

This was exactly what Trump wasn't supposed to do (why the fuck anyone thought he wouldn't I don't know) but both his supporters & the Russians will be in a spin. Well everyone will be in a spin.

Hillary Clinton, hours before the attack, advocated for this same response. I seriously don't believe that this attack is going to be his doom with his supporters. He was elected on the basis of "America First", but then he can say "to protect civilians against chemical weapons is an American value" and say Obama was a coward. The most interest thing is that about a week ago, Haley and Tillerson, two of USA's most respectable diplomats indicated they'd accept Assad permanence and that shows the White House has little strategy to deal with Syria if you consider what is the role of a diplomat alongside the Executive. It was a power demonstration.

Interestingly his approval ratings will go up as they always do during a military action but *some of his blind supporters will have lost some love for him. I have never seen negative posts about him on his reddit page but there's heaps of it now. I really think he saw pictures & just got angry. This will move him more to the centre as will getting rid of Bannon. That looked impossible not long ago. That's not nessecarily a good thing for him though considering he won his support on the far right. He already lost a bunch of that on the failed Obamacare repeal.

Bannon was doomed from the moment Pence took the health-care issue and clashed with Kushner. I was reading that Reddit sub, I didn't do that for a while. Unbelievable. Looks like troll stuff.

Yeah i'm convinced about 50 percent of it is Russian troll bots. I'm not sure if it's the Russians or Americans on there which have turned. I usually can't look for more than about 30 seconds. It was totally different today though.

Going back to some of the military classrooms, Sarin, if pure, won't burn, if impure, it will burn some and be degraded, but still very dangerous stuff indeed, burning might not do much but disperse it further, and make the debris a lot more dangerous. Given Trump has the diplomatic and political skills of a drunken scouse, it is hard to say what is going to happen next. (An that could be an insult to scouse(s), even though it seems difficult to insult vermin of that stripe)
