Fail to see what his appearance has to do with politics/policies etc. Appearance is everything. She looks more like a Spitting image puppet than a spitting image puppet. |

Some polls have Labour a couple points behind the Tories now. If Corbyn does it, this'll be a bigger shock than Trump and Brexit combined.
Still don't think he will though.

Appearance is everything. She looks more like a Spitting image puppet than a spitting image puppet. yet in contrast, if JC is wearing a suit jacket with a shirt - the shirt is oversized. If he's wearing a suit with a tie, the suit jacket is FAR too long and the sleeves are too baggy along with his trousers looking like they're about 4inches too long. JC also slouches alot when he's sitting and he doesn't appear very confident in a one-on-one situation and would be steamrolled by much more confident world leaders. if you knew nothing about either person than you would automatically say that she is the better of the two. like I said, appearance is everything. |

Also- can someone explain to me how 'no deal is better than a bad deal' please? Seriously? Presumably she has to say that otherwise the EU will shaft her in negotiations. I don't think she really believes it. Have you guys left that EU yet? |

This is modern politics, where appearance is, unfortunately, such a crucial ingredient in voters minds. The average person in the street doesn't read a manifesto either, they just follow whatever shit is being spoon fed to them via whatever rag they've opened up to read that morning. Rupert Murdoch has more of an influence on voting than any politician could ever hope to muster. Sad, but true.

Corbyn being a scruffy cunt would probably be a valid argument if May didn't look horrific too.
I don't think either of them did too well last night to be honest. I'd probably say May did the worst because as pointed out earlier, she looked like she was going to cry. And Corbyn did have a good line about "it's not in the manifesto because we're not going to do it".
Having said all that, it's hard to do well in that situation. It's more of a roast than an interview. Paxman gives you roughly half a second to answer before he starts screaming "answer the question" about half an inch away from your face. And as a result, I'm not really any clearer on anything. No new information was gained.
It is entertaining though watching people get pushed like that. But as a consequence, whoever wins, someone is going to be Prime Minister having been made to look a bit of a tit on TV 10 days prior.

Does anyone on here voting Conservative give a toss about the Hunting Ban getting repealed?
It's such a small part of their manifesto, having an open vote about it, but seems to have alienated a lot of their younger supporters. It's just a baffling policy, really.
