Delighted with this transfer, he's one hell of a player and I ain't saying that because he's on the way.
Seen a lot of Benfica and the lad is a really dominant defender, him and Bailly is going to be a great pairing. Chuffed.

Hopefully he is as solid and composed as Bailly.

delighted with the transfer aswell.i'm no expert on him, seen him play a few times and checked out his videos on youtube. seems a very strong defender.and the good thing is,even if he needs time to adapt we have the likes of bailly, rojo, jones or even blind who can do a decent job.we already had the 2nd best defence in the league. great to have the lad at united.him and bailly could form a strong partnership for years to come

£30mil is going to look insanely good value in this market. He will go to Saints when LVG is signed on as their gaffer.

Jones Rojo Bailly Lindelof Blind Smalling
If Smalling and Jones stay as expected, then the competition between those players will be intense. 6 players 2-3 positions max per game.
Very interested to see who plugs their crap and starts performing on a consistent basis, there looks to be no room for mistakes.
Im still leaning towards Rojo and Bailly as that looked to be our best pairing last season. They are hard on the tackle and mean as F***.

Seen a lot of Benfica and the lad is a really dominant defender, him and Bailly is going to be a great pairing. Chuffed. glad someone has watched him. ive only seen youtube highlights but he looks tip top. looks very good on the ball, looks pretty quick and looks as if he is strong in a tackle. i didnt see the game but i believe Giroud outplayed him, physically. thats not too bad seeing as though he is only 23 and Girouds whole game is based on being strong. Bailly and Lindelof are going to be some crazy pairing. both very good on the ball and both like to run the ball out from the back. given their age we could have a sensational CB pairing for years to come. at a total price of about 60m what a steal in todays market Jones Rojo Bailly Lindelof Blind Smalling If Smalling and Jones stay as expected, then the competition between those players will be intense. 6 players 2-3 positions max per game. Very interested to see who plugs their crap and starts performing on a consistent basis, there looks to be no room for mistakes. They are hard on the tackle and mean as F***. lets not involve Rojo just yet hes going to be out for some time. i can see Big Vic coming in and slotting alongside Bailly straight away. smalling and jones can fight between themselves for the back up CB. i cant see where Blind is going to feature now if im going to be honest. when Rojo is back then who knows. i personally rate him higher than smalling and jones. i think this season is going to be the last for one of the two and Jose is giving them this season for them to prove their worth. for a back up CB pairing its got to be one of the best though so we will certainly have strength in depth.

We really do look fucken solid at the back now. Not that shite defending was our weakness ,but when you look at who we have at the back now and the experience these boys have gained as a group.... it's set us up pretty good Imho

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-victor-lindelof-transferM.E.N. spoke with Expressen's Mattias Tengblad to discover more about one of Scandinavian football's rising stars. Is Lindelof a suitable partner for Bailly? I think so. Lindelof is, despite his young age, a very smart player and ready to adapt to his colleague. He is a playing central defender that doesn’t hesitate to contribute to the offensive play and I think that he and Bailly will be a great match. Can he play anywhere else than centre-back or right-back? He is, first of all, a central defender, but he is quite used to playing at right-back as well - just like former Swedish player Olof Mellberg did in the international team in his early days. I haven't seen him play in any other position than those two. Who was Lindelof's idol? His biggest hero on the pitch is Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels (who United tried to sign from Borussia Dortmund in 2014), a player he has always admired. Because of his intelligence on the pitch but also for his skills with the feet. A year ago Lindelof said his goal is to be at Hummels' level within a couple of years. What is his personality like? Will his family settle in Manchester after spending time in Lisbon? Regarding his personality: Everybody says he is a great guy. Very mature for his age. He left Sweden for Portugal as a teenager and was called up for the Sweden U21 for the Euros in 2015 (which they won). And he ended up in the All-Star team for the tournament. In Portugal he was called 'Iceman' because of his mature kind of play and his calm and humble personality. I'm sure that he and his girlfriend, Maja, will enjoy Manchester. The dispute between Benfica and Vasteras seemed to partly prevent Lindelof from joining United in January. How did he react to that? I don't think Lindelof is the kind of guy who will criticise Benfica or talk about that dispute. What I know for a fact is that he really cares about his hometown Vasteras (he just bought an apartment there with his girlfriend, they got the keys just a couple of days ago) and the club of Vasteras have only good things to say about him. They seem to have a great relationship. They have several times talked about how humble he is when he comes home and that he always takes his time. How well did he adapt in Portugal? Of course, it took some time to adapt to the life in Portugal. He was just a teenager when he moved from Sweden, but thanks to his determination and skills he quickly became one of Benfica's biggest names for the future. Everything exploded in 2015 when he was splendid in the U21 Euros and he signed his first contract with the first-team the same summer. He made his debut in February (the Champions League round-of-16 against Zenit) and ever since he has been a starting player for Benfica. Mourinho has a particularly good rapport with United's Iberian players. Will Lindelof's spell in Portugal aid his relationship with Mourinho? Well, why shouldn't it? They both have, obviously, experience from Portuguese football and can communicate with each other on another level though they both speak Portuguese and English.
