That was a fun first half, gave a good account of ourselves going forward but they carved through us far too easy, although that's as much about the formation as the personnel. Having said that we are definitely still short in midfield. I wouldn't mind starting the season without another attacking signing but really think we need to be strengthening midfield to compete on all fronts.

It wasn't a good idea to play Carrick in a two man midfield against these guys 8 years ago, not sure what Jose expected to happen really.
Pogba has been brilliant, Marcus very good. DDG is incredible. The rest chasing shadows mainly.

To be fair we've had our chances. More will come of Pogba stays on. Bring someone on for Carrick that can bolster the midfield. Dare I say it Fellaini.
