138mil for Coutinho... and the scum said no. I understand some of the reasons why, it's so late in the window etc, but damn! To me, Liverpool should sell Coutinho because he obviously is unsettled, wanted to leave already even before his transfer request, but I understand some of the reasons why Pool wouldn't. IMO Coutinho is replaceable.
I have a mate who's a Scum supporter, and he defended their stance of refusing the offer, asking me "Would you sell De Gea for 138mil?" My snap reaction was hell yes I would, but then it got me thinking, actually I wouldn't.
De Gea is top 2, if not the best, goalkeeper in the world. (De Gea, Neuer >>> daylight > ?). My first reaction was, I'd take 138mil from Madrid and then buy Oblak, Schmeichel or Donnarumma. But then I thought what's the point of selling a player who is arguably the best in the WORLD in his position, still young, unless he was unhappy/unsettled or old? We obviously don't need the money.
But who else is on that list of untouchable? Pogba easily, but what about Rashford, Martial? I dunno.

De Gea is right up there with Neymar in terms of price, he`s basically irreplaceable.

Every player is replaceable. We've done it tons of times before. On all of those occasions people wondered how we'd cope, but we did, and went on to win things still. On paper De Gea Is irreplaceable but once he does go, which he surely will eventually, we move on and work with what we do have.

Obviously I wouldn't want to sell any player as I think we've got an excellent squad but the ones who I'd like to keep no matter the offer are Pogba, Dave and Rashford. Pogba and Dave are obvious in my opinion but extremely talented young English players don't come around too often so we'd be mad to consider anything for Rashford at this moment in time either.
Martial and Bailly also have the talent to put themselves amongst the untouchables in the future.
