Do they not have that Roberts kid still? Are they not signing some kid from the MLS franchise? Can one of Silva/Silva/Sterling or De Bruyne do a shift out of position for a few weeks? FFS! That kid (Jack Harrison) came from our academy.....

Dr Tom Markham, supposedly one of the foremost football finance experts in the world (he’s helped on several takeovers for PL teams), said on the Totally Football Show that we are definitely in the process of recruiting for a DoF. He seems like the kind of guy worth listening to.
If you want to listen to what he said, skip to about 47:45 in the podcast that went live yesterday. They have other stuff on United earlier on, but that’s the bit where he mentions us and a DoF during a wider discussion about agent fees.

And now City want Mahrez due to Sane's injury. Can the famed City academy not produce anyone good enough to fill in for 6 weeks? Leicester apparently said 100 million for Mahrez!

City have made things move competitive, blah blah. They did it with money, blah blah. Sick of hearing it.
But if a club is spending £50m on someone because another of their players is injured for a few weeks, its an absolute disgrace. There is a line and, regardless who somebody supports, City have crossed it.

There is a line and, regardless who somebody supports, City have crossed it. It's probably the hypocrisy that bothers me the most. A couple of days after Pep was crying that they can't compete in terms of fees and salaries, they proceed and sign Laporte for £60m and make an offer for Mahrez, which will probably go for more. At least shut the fuck up.

If there current back ups can't get a game, what chance do the youngsters have? Those millions they spent on their youth facilities was a total waste. Football is totally dead.

Plus they've essentially established an MLS academy.

Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Mendy, Danilo, Stones, Laporte and Ederson
Total Cost = A staggering 340M and Guardiola's team still can't defend
