Wasn't overly impressed with Lindelof 2bh, going to either need a fair amount of time to settle in or he's going to turn into an expensive flop. I've never seen him play before we were linked with him so can't say how good he is but there was a hype over him when we bought him I'm yet to see.
Granted hes not played much so have to give him some time, his confidence isn't probably at a high level either but the lad will have time, he just needs to make a statement or he will be down the pecking order. He's ahead of Smalling anyway so there's a plus for him there.

I thought Lindelof looked composed. I can't remember him putting a foot wrong. He played some decent balls into space, as well. Started off a few attacks.

Once Micky starts actually playing well, he's gonna be frightening. He's pretty damn good when he's not playing well.

Didnt watch the whole game but from what saw there were moments where he looked a bit nervous. I'm sure he'll come good. Not slating the bloke as its not easy coming to a new league and adapting straight away, some do, some dont. With our defensive track record I'm sure hell get a good enough run of games though.

www.football365.com/news/get-him-lindelof-thinks-he-was-very-good-for-man-unitedVictor Lindelof is confident of proving his worth at Manchester United after stepping out at Old Trafford for the first time. United acted quickly to make the long-standing defensive target Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing, paying Benfica an initial 35million euros (£30.75million) for the Sweden international’s services. Lindelof could cost a further 10million euros in add-ons, although if those clauses are achieved then the centre-back will likely have proved good value. Many expected the composed 23-year-old defender to slot straight into United’s defence, but Mourinho is easing him in to help his adaptation to the rigours of English football, much like Henrikh Mkhitaryan last term. Mourinho was impressed with him against Basel. Having been reduced to a watching brief since the UEFA Super Cup, Tuesday’s Champions League opener against Basle was Lindelof’s first taste of playing at Old Trafford – a night the Swede will not only cherish but build on. “I think it was a very good debut,” Lindelof said after the 3-0 win. “To play my first match at Old Trafford is something I have really waited for. It felt really good. “I played my own game and did what I was told to do on the pitch. “Now I’m going to leave the match for a while and then watch the replay to see if there’s anything that I could have done better. “I feel pretty confident and know what I’m able to do.” Mourinho plans to revert to the centre-back pairing of Eric Bailly and Phil Jones for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton, but Lindelof is set to get another run out against Burton in the Carabao Cup next week. Asked if he was aware of Mourinho’s comments on his adaptation to Premier League life, the defender said: “I have noticed what’s been written, but it’s not something that I have focused on. “I try to focus on my game and add as much as I can to the team. “(The defensive competition) feels good. They are all good players and I think it’s easy to play with them all. “We’re going to play the system the manager thinks is the best. I’m used to playing with four at the back, but if Mourinho wants to play with five or three, that’s no problem at all.” Lindelof does not expect Paul Pogba’s absence to prove too much of a problem either. “It’s tough to lose such a good player,” he said after the midfielder limped off with a hamstring injury against Basle. “But we have good players who can cover for him.”

Lindelof was largely very good, considering he had to cover for the walking shitshow that is Chris fucking Smalling.
God I hope we sell that spineless no mark.

Still can't believe that was Fellaini out there. Yes it was Basel but very impressive and composed performance by him. Never thought he'd become an impact sub for us. It's time United supporters started showing him more appreciation.

thought Lindelof was very good last night. very tidy on the ball, he passes it like a midfielder, fires it in along the ground with no bobbles (like smalling). once he adapts I think hes going to be a job to watch I look forward to watching him develop.
Fellaini was superb. ive backed him for a while now as he comes in useful, but he has definitely improved. looks quicker and better technically.
gutted to see Pogba go off injured as he will be missed against everton.
is Miki going to be another Nani? technically superb, does some amazing bits of skill and scores some worldies, but then also annoys the piss out of you. so many times he lost the ball last night and also missed some sitters. he just needs to keep it simple sometimes instead of running into traffic.
big Rom was brilliant, as he should be against a team like that.
not that bothered Herrera wasn't in the squad either. he wasn't great at the weekend. he does usually take a few games to really get into and find his form. hes going to play a lot more often now.

He had that one rash tackle where if the lad went down it would of been a pen, but in fairness Mkiki put them on the back foot with that shocking giveaway
