cant wait for so many reasons.a good mate of mine is a huge fc basel fan so we'll watch the game together.
basel are struggling at the moment (for their levels).after winning 8 (iirc) league titles in a row they started this campaign a bit slow.they sit in 3rd and just lost yesterday at home to the team sitting in last place.
its a good moment to play them and we should win this one comfortably.probably our "easiest" fixture in the group games.
basel have van wolfswinkel up front.scored something like 7 in 6 games but still,even without bailly and jones we should have not much problems at the back.
4 or 5:0 to us.martial will score a brace.

Really looking forward to this. It's where we belong. It's also good to be going into it with a manager who has excelled in European competitions throughout his career. Think we're going to go pretty far.

Despite the poor result at Stoke, I feel pretty confident about this matchup.
Really looking forward to seeing our young brigade in their first UCL outing- Rom, Rashford, Lindelof especially.
I think we'll shelve the 3 man midfield til further notice.

How cool to watch United in the Champions League. At last I can watch for my team, not watching how other teams play there and Manchester playes in the Europa League at the same time. Champions League without United isn't Champions League.

Is this home or away? You'd never know looking at the title...  As it's at home, we really absolutely must win. Fergie (I think it was Fergie) said win your home games and draw your away games and you'll reach the final of the CL every time. That's what we should be expecting as a minimum in this group. |
