Never did I for even a nanosecond think Lingard was going to score that. And neither did any of you. I just wondered if he could get it into the top tier of the stand. Nothing more.

Dont think Id go that far just yet. Both are as bad as each other. At least Lingard runs like he means it. Mkhitaryan is close to be a great player. Has all the creativity, some lovely touches. Made basically world because of shite execution and constantly seeming a few seconds off the pace. He does, but sometimes that even more frustrating. He runs like he means it but we all know the ending will be the same. I've accepted the fact Lingard will never be more than a fringe player, I don't want that happening to Mikki. The lad has bundles of talent but lets himself down with what can only be described as amateur passing. The last few games I've carefully watched him and the amount of times he gives the ball away is shocking for a player of his apparent quality. He needs to find that quality that he had for portions of last season and I'm sure all will work out, maybe its a confidence issue I'm not sure, either way he needs to sort it out.

Mkhitaryan is nearly 29, I'd rather not be waiting for him to work something out, something I think he'll never find whilst here. I'd rather bin him off. He's just not good enough when you compare him to other creative players at top clubs here and abroad, he's miles behind the likes of De Bruyne, Hazard, Eriksen and what they offer to their teams.

When I say work it out I mean do it now. Cant even blame his position changes for the struggle as he's finding it hard to even do basic passing atm. Sad part is he's struggling and yet we have a talented player that decided to go on loan in Spain that could be used and would probably relish the opportunity. If it carries on and doesn't work out then we need to ban ourselves from buying players from Dortmund.

Never did I for even a nanosecond think Lingard was going to score that. And neither did any of you. Bang on. I was just sat there wondering how will he choose to fuck this up .

Good win. Thought it put 6 between us and Spurs but only 3. Martial is super sub.

Something that really bugs me about Miki is that can anyone say he's an upgrade on Rooney? He gets pushed off the ball way too easily, and legally, just like Rooney was. He seems mentally a yard slower than everyone else, always dallying over his options when about to be tackled, just like Rooney was. When he does play a ball he constantly puts the wrong weight on it; I lost count of how many times we lost possession yesterday when he played a simple enough ball way too hard and the target couldn't get to it, again, a familiar Rooney trait. Move after move breaks down everytime he gets on the ball. Even his so call "great play" yesterday, the shot which led to Llrois spilling the effort, was pure luck. If you watch it he gets the ball on the edge of the Spurs box, and clearly has no clue what to do. So he takes too long, tries to beat a man by basically running into him, and with extreme good fortune manages to come away with the ball after a couple of ricochets. He then scuffs a pretty shit effort which Lloris should have held very comfortably. Watching him is no different to watching Rooney fucking everything up in the exact same position these last few years. The only difference is that at least Rooney would give you effort, getting back and putting tackles in. And on Lingard, I was real excited when I saw we had a guy in acres of space on the counter, bolted up and said "Yes!". The the commentator said "Lingard" and I slumped back down and said "Fucks sake". Didn't even bother thinking for one second he might score, as Stew said. He did the exact same thing in the Europa League final as well. Clean through, loads of space, and fucked it up. But, the cross for Lukaku was pure sex. He delivered a similar one last season (can't remember who against) for, I think, a Zlatan goal. Hit 1st time on the run, magnificent cross.

Rooney is a spent force, so for all his faults Miki is still an upgrade. He was pretty decent last season whereas Rooney was rank. He needs to sort himself out though along with Herrera because both have been poor.

I really enjoyed that match, felt like a derby. Enjoyed seeing the players getting chippy. Young was immense. MOTM for me. Matic - I can't believe Chelsea sold us Matic, and I can't believe anyone thought he wasn't good enough. Unreal how he strides through midfield, such a tough player and always finds great little pockets of space and passing lines, never seems to panic. I wish Lingard would have banged in that shot played long to him, but he panicked. Thought our defense looked pretty good. Smalling was almost Mike-like at times, although he'd intercept really well but play it to a white shirt a few too many times. Dele Alli is a knob. Good win. Imagine what we could have done to Liverpool with that fighting spirit - we could have stuck 8 or 9 past 'em. Anyway, great win.

It was good to see Tony Valencia becoming a true Utd captain yesterday. His booting of Ali after he did Young was a worthy tribute to the likes of Keane, Robson and Bruce.

Young's a fantastic advertisement for hard work and good professionalism. A bit like Fellaini. Neither should have any place in this team yet both have made themselves relatively important. Young's been one of our most consistent performers this season.
