At this stage i'd be in favour of the en-masse route. Massive shake up of everything. Might give the rest of the players a kick up the arse and show em that its time to step up. De Gea Pogba wherever you may be Martial Matic Zlatan Baiily Lukaku even though he's off form automatic starters Get rid Shaw Mickymouse stolen from another forumHerrera unless his form improves Carrick who I think will retire Lingard Keep Fellani Blind Smalling Jones Rojo Valencia Rashford Not arsed either way Young Mata although he could be in my keep too. Traitor

Exactly. How well did Chelsea do when Hazard was out? And that was only for a few weeks? Pogba is our game-changer, the one player we have that can produce a piece of magic in a tight game. Pogba is a big loss, but mostly because we have nobody else in MF or a back up for Matic to keep him fresh. Pogba missed two games before the break were we did well with Fellaini, but I think people are overhyping because we played so many games against awful opposition at the right time at the start. This team needs half a dozen good players in certain positions. I mean look at that ball from Azpuliceuta(spelling?) For Moratas goal. It's also a regular feature for them. City's FB's have seven assists this season and their top one Mendy has been out for a month. Valencia is a supreme athlete and runs a lot, but he is a one trick pony offensively and limited. We should have a decent young RB pushing and sharing the time with him and we don't have a decent LB. Young is temporary Darmian is awful and Fat Boy Sulk is on his way out! It's especially important when yopu are trying to play the way we were yesterday with two wing backs. For all the talk of Zlatan who knows when or what will return and he is not a med term never mind long term solution even. Rashfords close your eyes attempt yesterday was of someone still in development. We need another Striker next summer, that gives us something different or a player like Griezmann The main problem the last month has been in MF. Matic and Herrera is just firefighting and Mikki offers nothing when asked to play deeper. ( How can you expect an assault on CL and PL and Cups with ONE holding MF player and one other player Pogba in MF of the level required to compete at that level consistently. They had Alonso, Babayako and Fabregas running it, with Herrera trying to mark Hazard we were swamped. If you can't hold onto the ball in MF or string more than 2 passes together when under pressure you can't build and create. We are a good team at times but we don't have enough really good players to be consistent at the top level. This year will be like previous seasons patchy, with injuries and tiredness over reliance on certain players, cup runs and a battle for fourth again.

Looking at Chelsea's goal again, why in the fuck does our CB of a three finish higher up the pitch than SIX of the rest of our team? Was it a counter-attack or something?

While the Pogba thing is a bit strange I think the Lindelof situation strange too, why is he so far off the pace still? he's not even looking close to getting a regular spot.

I'd rather play well at this stage of the season. An unjust defeat could have a more positive impact on our season, than (despite popular opinion) a shit 1-0 win where we create fuck all and banjo one in off someones arse. So... Hows that working for you? would've been perfect, if I would've included a 3rd option of play shit and lose.

We don't have a really good intelligent leader at trhe back we needed an experienced really good CB and we got Lindelof. That's not writing him off in the future, but our defence gets a lot of credit it doesn't deserve, primarily because of the way we play. Primarily Smalling and Jones . The whole defence except Bailly are Fergies players none of whom would be first choice or picked in his team apart from De Gea what a joke

If there are any of our targets available in January, they should be bought. We need to start our recruitment drive now and into next summer.

On the midfield position, I really think Jose anticipated Pereira staying with us this season, he tried him all over midfield in pre-season, even in the deeper role. Think him going out on loan fucked us in terms of some depth there. McTominay is showing progression all the time but he's not someone you can rely on in a big game, not yet anyway.
I do think we need 1 more in there though, I thought it in the summer and if anything the situation has worsened with Carrick nowhere to be seen so far this season, he should've been gone at the end of last season with another one brought in.
Either that or bring back Fosu-Mensah and give him game time there. Think he could've certainly been helpful yesterday with his energy, pace and power as I thought the Chelsea midfield didn't just overrun us but they bullied us at times.

I think some of the stick for our creative players is unfair. Outside of Neymar et al, Mkhi, Martial and Mata are some of the best in the world. In my opinion the issue at United is they are used in a midfield role with defensive shackles when they are really attackers who need to be starting in a higher area of the pitch. To show their best they should be the outlet when we win the ball back but instead are positioned as part of the defensive unit. It could be argued the players aren't right for the system though it could equally be said the system isn't right for the players.
