I'm disappointed by Mata today. These are the games I expect him to shine in. He's playing at 10, has good, mobile options all around him and has had zero impact.

The 8-point gap is irrelevant. No way this garbage is going to get us anywhere near City. People wanted Rashford, Martial and Lukako playing together, Lingard out, Fellaini out and Mikhi back in Germany. Well, that’s what that wishlist results in. Dire football at home to a newly promoted side.
There are some shite individual displays without a doubt (for mr Matic, Rashford and Lukako stood out in that respect) but I worry that what we are getting used to see is aresult of shit coaching and tactics. It’s all about individual brilliance rather than any cohesive forward play. Depressing
edit: One of the posts here just reminded me that Mata is playing

I just don't understand how a side containing Pogba, Mata, Martial and Rashford isn't producing exciting, attacking football and somehow completely runs out of ideas when up against a team with even moderate defensive capabilities. The side might need new full backs and extra depth in midfield, and I'm not saying they should be automatically blitzing teams like Brighton but come on, this squad should be good enough to find a way through and come up methods other than constantly lumping it into Lukaku.
Pogba is back now and while he is arguably not at 100% yet, for me the excuse of his absence can no longer be used. So what is it?
