we should absolutely going into this game to attack and kick them to pieces. this is what we have always been about against these and its usually worked. they also have Lacazette injured and Sanchez has got a dodgey hamstring but hes available. I wanna see the same as Tuesday, but I can imagine Matic will be out. Bring Herrera in for him and play Lingard in front of the midfield and behind Martial / Lukaku to do the tracking and stopping them playing out from the back. hes going to be on a high so let him continue. Lukuku needs to go into this game with his back up and with aggression to prove he can do it and lead our line. hes been assisting so I wont worry too much about the lack of recent goals. Agree with everything other than playing Lingard as a #10. He's probably earned a start in the managers eyes, but not as a fucking 10. Stick him on the wing if we have to. I was thinking of defensive protection for Herrera and Pogba as Matic is a big miss. Lingard has the pace and energy to run into the wings and also do the defensive work through the middle |

Fellaini, Jones and Bailly all missing, Matic is a doubt. I can see Matic playing, he's travelling down etc so it can't be anything too serious.

I'd be astonished if Lingard doesn't start this one. I'm not a huge fan but he was excellent against Watford and could perform the Park role vs Arsenal.

I know that, for a winger, he's good at tracking back and sticking to the gameplan, but does he really have the defensive acumen to play that role? |

I am also eyeing the Berties games against Spuds and Palace away after we beat them and knock their confidence

I'd love for us to smash em but I'm worried about Jose's tactics. Sir Alex's tactics against Wenger in the later years were always bang on. Let Arsenal have the ball but not be overly defensive, and absolutely wreck them on the counter. I just hope we're not parked in our own half most of the game.

Just seen all the lads at Stockport station. Shook Pogba and Lingards hand with a sausage roll in my other hand and waves from Young and Mata. They were absolutely mobbed Lukaku got a special handshake then? |

I think/hope/believe Jose is going to set out to smash Arsenal. We will probably come flying out of the traps and overwhelm them and have them surrender by half time!!!
Or maybe we start with a 5 man midfield, weather the first 15 minutes, hit them on the counter, and then slowly tighten the screws. I'm going to go on record and say I've got no confidence in Lukaku... so that he can score all three goals in our 0-3 thriller.
