Romero Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw Herrera Pogba Mkhitaryan Mata Lingard Rashford Gives most of the players who looked really goosed at the end of the Arsenal game a break. Martial to come and around the hour mark to keep him and Jesse fresh I like that. Maybe Mikhi will earn his crust for once.

I think Lukaku should definitely start - this is the kind of game that could help him rediscover his goal scoring form.

Looks like Luke Shaw will play based on his Instagram picture.

Looks like Luke Shaw will play based on his Instagram picture. Lets hope he shows some semblance of the quality left back that is definitely still in there. I'd much rather he got himself back on track than blowing £40mil on an overrated Rose.

To be honest I wouldn't even fancy paying £30mil for him. £50mil is fucking insane when you've got Shaw there who's got a higher ceiling than Rose. Hopefully he plays really well tonight and proves to the manager that there's still a player there. Young should be first choice for the rest of the season as his form has been outstanding but Shaw should be getting the games when Young needs a rest.

I doubt, for example, that Young can play 2 games in 3 days at the turn of the new year. Shaw should hopefully have a couple of oppurtunities in our upcoming run.

The Luke Shaw situation is now pretty ridiculous, we had one of the top up and coming LB`s who then got injured is it about 14 months ago now? we are told he recovered well and the leg has healed well, so why with all the modern methods available is he still not ready?

Given we have the best LB in the country now and Shaw as a back up there's no reason to splurge 50M on Rose. Shaw should be given the rest of the season to get fit and show he can play there at this level which he can if he pushes himself and doesn't get injured.

Rest all the big guns, bar Pogba who obviously can’t play on Sunday. I’d like to see McTominay and Shaw get starts ideally. I think Shaw must have pissed on Jose's chips because he's not getting a sniff of first team football.

I think Shaw must have pissed on Jose's chips because he's not getting a sniff of first team football. Or he has been a lazy fuckwit or won't listen to what he's told? I mean, if he showed a fraction of the commitment that, say, Young has then he would be back in the team. The fact that people are still talking about him "getting fit" 17 months after his leg break says it all. Especially at 21/22. Fair enough he has had a couple of other minor injuries too, but these should have been spurring him on to get back faster. Compare it to a 36 y/o coming back from a double cruciate in half that time & you might start to wonder whether it is time the player started shouldering the majority of the blame, no? Wonder if he has offered to take a pay cut in all this time? Especially as he ain't fit for purpose. EDIT: And i doubt he would piss on, and waste, good chips. He'd have more likely wolfed them down as soon as Jose turned his back.

Hoping Shaw puts in a real shift. Would love to see him get back in Jose's regular plans.
Probably rest Lukaku, instead of pushing through his goal blockage, just give him the night off.
