Could've been about 8-1 Ander, followed by Shaw and then Lionel Jesse for the Thunder bastard as MOTM's Thought Shaw was absolutely outstanding, shaded the MOTM for me. He makes the right decision every time he's on the ball. Never flustered whatsoever. I'd start him every game if I was Jose. |

Somewhere I said a few years back that Jesse would end up a goal scoring 10 and would end up displacing Mata. Got hammered for it. Wish I could find it  Seriously well done though. Nothing beats a young player coming good. Sometimes it takes time and patience. Rashford will do the same. |

There are also many who have written Ander off that need to revisit their opinions of him. In fairness I did question the amount of money we gave him. Always liked the lad though just thought it was too soon to pay him that kind of money. Earning every penny now. |

Like I said earlier, the key with Lingard now is to keep it up. A fruitful 3 months doesn't make a career.

Like I said earlier, the key with Lingard now is to keep it up. A fruitful 3 months doesn't make a career. I was literally just about to say this. I'll wait until he's done this over a whole season before deciding I was totally wrong about how incredible he is. He's in the middle of a purple patch at the moment, and playing out of his skin. But it's been for about 8 weeks, prior to that he was his usual self. All running and very little product. Just like we shouldn't write a top class player off when his form drops for a couple of months, lets not hype up an average performer who has a patch when everything they hit goes in. Not hating on the kid, he's our star man at the moment and deserves to be starting every week; but I'm not about to proclaim him the next coming of Ronaldo just yet. |

Definitely and I say that as someone who's always been a fan. If he can play to this level for an entire season then he's even better than I thought he could be. Just as it's important not to over-hype, it's also important to not be over critical. He's going to dip, whether it be for a game or a few games, he won't play like this in every game or score goals like that in every game until the end of the season. I just hope people cut him some slack when he inevitably throws in a sub par display. |
