I was concerned that someone was going to get seriously hurt by some of those lower league tackles, but credit to the ref, he kept a lid on it well.
Must admit to being a bit worried there for a while early on but class showed through ultimately. All great goals, although the hesitant defence helped with two of them (showed their level there the defenders).
I’m very excited for the Spurs game!

Angel Gomez, remember that name. It would be better if people remembered the name Angel Gomes Typo caused by excessive alcohol unfortunately.

On Lukaku and scoring his 18th goal of the season last night- I met a pal I hadn’t seen in a while the other day and we got to talking about all things Utd. I think the exploit of Ronaldo and Messi in recent years has skewed somewhat the idea of what constitutes an excellent return from a striker. Previously I’d always think a good marker was 20-25 goals for a Utd striker, particularly one that had come from a mid-table club in his first season. Obviously we want him to score more in the big games (and I’d give anything for him to put the Scouse to the sword) but the guy is on course to hit in and around 30 goals this year.
Which is not to be sneezed at.

From a personal point of view, my issue with Lukaku has never been about the amount of goals he'll score, always thought he'd score a shed load. It was about his all round game and the way we play when we have that kind of target up front. I don't think the way we've played this season at times is conducive to winning the major trophies. If we're going to compete with the likes of City and the bigger sides in Europe we have to play a more flowing brand of attacking football IMO and Lukaku has been a hindrance to that at times this season for me.
He's definitely shown improvements in the other areas of his game in recent weeks though and it's coincided with the team not aimlessly lumping it up to him at every given opportunity as well. Still think he's got a way to go but he's certainly going in the right direction.
I do think I've possibly been a little harsh on him previously in terms of not at least allowing him time to acclimatise to a club like ours and playing different to how he has at previous clubs.

Think the addition of Sanchez will definitely help him with the goals as well imo. Just depends where he'll play and where Martial will end up being moved to if he doesn't stay on the left. With Pogba behind those three it should all be down to Rom to get the job done. Could be a good finish to the season. Not likely to win the league now but a good run in the champions league isn't out of the question, especially with Sanchez being able to play.

Sanchez`s through balls to Lukaku, Lingard, Martial and Rasher are going to make a huge difference plus the goals he will score, feeling excited.

i was just thinking about our squad and we are clearly on the way to have one of the top sides in europe. not too long ago we were struggling to name a world class player apart from de gea.
fast forward a bit and we got a few so called world class and undroppable players. de gea, valencia, matic, pogba and sanchez are clearly starting 11 and could walk into most teams in the world.
on top of that hugely talented players who are not too far away from the very top such as bailly, jones, shaw, martial, lukaku and rashford. important squad players like romero, smalling, herrera, lingard, mata and young. talents coming through such as pereira,fosu-mensah,tuanzebe,mctominay,andreas.
this squad changed a lot since mourinho took over and he created a world class team. i guess 1 or 2 new additions in the summer will make us even stronger and i believe we already have got the deepest squad in the league and probably one of the deepest in world football, not saying the best but the deepest.
i'm more and more happy with this squad, for the first time in years. there is fierce competition for starting places all around the pitch (apart central midfield) and this benefits the team and all the players.
granted i might be getting a bit carried away because of the sanchez signing but i woke up this morning feeling fine!

This is fair, though I'd also say that he should IMO be scoring more than last season considering he now has superior service and is still one of the key focal points of the team. We'll have to see if he gets there.

Minimum for me for any top class striker is 20 league goals.
For Lukaku, as said before, is to best his tally of last season.

Watching Gillette Soccer Saturday at 1:00pm with the usual ABU clowns of Merson, Thompson,Le-Tissier and Nicolas, talking about last night’s game and how Sanchez played, not going to trouble you all with their responses,as you well know what they’ll have said. And can you have a guess how many times his “massive wages” were mentioned? What a complete bunch of thundercunts.
