Must win, though with my "in home" nurse coming in to wrap the foot being a spuds fan, I could end up with circulation cut off. but, would be worth the banter I shall toss at her when we beat these muppets like rented mules!

If Eriksen is out for this then I fancy our chances even more.
4-3-3.
Alexis - Rom - Martial up top.
3 points please.

Spurs dont look that good at the moment and we should do well, keep Kane quiet and mark him properly...something that no one seems to do...and we should get a win.

This is a big, big game.
Big for us in keeping ahead of the top 4 pack.
Big for us in keeping any vague form of pressure on City.
Big for us because we have a shocking recent record away to Spurs and we need to put them back in their place.
Big for Jose in proving he can still win several big away games in a season.
Big for Jose in proving he can do that without parking the bus or repeating the horror show at Anfield.
Big for Sanchez as the perfect way to open his account.
Big for Rashford/Martial to see what flank they'll be operating on for the near future, and to see whether they can keep up with Sanchez.
Big for Lingard/Mata to see which one of them will make way for Sanchez.

The fact he didn't play at the game at OT - which was a good performance by us, but we'll probably need to be better to win away - helped a lot as they missed a couple of good chances. They definitely missed how clinical he is that day. Read Eriksen may be back. They've missed him massively, he's what makes them tick, and him not being there is the main reason for their recent 'meh' form I reckon. If he doesn't make it, or is too unfit to properly influence the game, that'll be as big a boost as Kane not making the home game was.

I want us to win even more than usual because I can’t even imagine the amount of shit that’ll be written if we don’t after the Sanchez transfer.
Best way for us to make everyone in the media shut their pie holes is to go there, play well, get a result and continue to (at the very least) solidify our top 4 spot.

We are looking watertight at the back which helps obviously but I’d like Ander to do a man-marking job similar to what he did on Hazard last season.

I wonder if we almost have two gameplans ready - one if Eriksen makes it, one if he doesn't. He's influential enough to warrant it. I imagine teams would do similar if Pogba was 50/50 to play when they face us.

I've just been speaking to a pal who's a Spurs fan (his wife is a United fan), he feels United have already won this match and that in Sanchez we have just found the missing piece of the jigsaw. I just hope we play expansive and exciting football whilst getting a well deserved and emphatic win. But I'd take a 1 nil United victory now if I could.
Enjoy the match guys, I'll be at martial arts so will be watching the recording as soon as I get home.
