really cant understand why Jose wont change the formation. I genuinely think he gets the best out his best midfielder and it allows the front 3 to really try and be flexible like ron, rooney and tevez. The blueprint is there, the ability is there the manager just needs to give it 6/7 games and surely the players will deliver. It's truly baffling. We play it against Everton and it looked and worked well - we haven't seen it again since and have played dogshit. I cannot for the life of me understand why Jose seems so against when with the players at his disposal, it seems the most naturally suited to get the best out of them. Because he is a stubborn bastard. Same reasoning for why Tree is a wanted commodity. His strength can be his weakness.

I agree Pogba's reaction has made him look worse in this situation and he should toughen up and adjust to the tactics. But it seems Jose has put his ego or belief in his system above what may be best for the player. Sadly, that fiery Italian manager Jose has been at war with did a much better job in getting the best out of Pogba at Juve. We have the players in Herrera, Matic and McTominay to accommodate as well.

www.football365.com/news/pogba-determined-to-win-over-mourinho-agent-baffledPogba ‘determined’ to win over Mourinho, agent ‘baffled’Paul Pogba is ‘determined’ to get his Manchester United career back on track under Jose Mourinho, according to reports. It was claimed earlier this week that Pogba and Mourinho were ‘at loggerheads’ over the former’s role in the team. Indeed, they are our one-on-one battle to watch this weekend. French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Pogba had ‘some regrets’ over turning down a move to Real Madrid in summer 2016, with Duncan Castles of the Daily Record saying that his position in the starting line-up was under some debate. Pogba has been substituted early in United’s last two Premier League away games – defeats to both Tottenham and Newcastle – while he was dropped against Huddersfield. It is thought that he wants to play on the left-hand side of a midfield three, whereas Mourinho is playing him in a midfield two alongside Nemanja Matic, increasing his defensive workload. But the Daily Telegraph now claim that Pogba ‘is committed to working through any differences of opinion’ with Mourinho. Northern football correspondent James Ducker adds that ‘while the pair have not seen eye to eye of late’, their player-manager relationship is still firmly intact. Mourinho ‘still considers Pogba to be integral to United’s prospects of future success,’ while Pogba is eager to win the Portuguese over again. ‘There has been no suggestion of a full scale breakdown in relations,’ writes Ducker, who has even been in contact with Mino Raiola. According to the story, Raiola was ‘baffled’ when asked about the situation, and said that any further questions should be directed to United themselves.

TBF I wouldn't call L'Equipe a rag. Traditionally they've been far more reliable than any British newspaper (or Spanish or Italian one that I know of), up there with Bild in Germany.

Seen some people, including F365, suggest Jose may have leaked it - mainly because Castles reported it too. Not sure why he would though - if he wanted to signal to the board he wants a new CM the narrative of the article doesn't make sense.

Raging and useless debate on BBC. Someone suggesting Low to replace Jose...fuck that. Pogba needs to grow up and show what he’s made of now. His reaction has caused this media storm. No bs and dabbing with Lingard on instagram. Go out and fucking play and prove everyone wrong.
