I think we need to sell Mata, Herrera, Darmian in the summer transfer window and replace Mata with Max Meyer (preferably) or Viktor Kovalenko, Herrera with Jean Seri, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Leander Dendoncker or Amadou Diawara and Darmian with Gaya (Left Back). I hope Timothy Fosu-Mensah plays most of the matches in the next season as our right back & the other remaining matches can be played by Riley / Young. I want to see Shaw and Gaya get rotated on the left back position because I doubt that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will get any reasonable opportunity to play as our left back in the next season. C.B.J. and Sam Johnstone will most likely get sold to some other English club next season. Blind should be played in midfield against weaker sides on the L.C.M. position (mostly early rounds of F.A. cup, E.F.L. cup and weak E.P.L. sides to keep Pogba super-fresh & fit), in these matches Pogba can come of the bench, Mctominay on the right and Matić or a new player at C.D.M. position. Also, we need to give chance to play (especially in F.A. and E.F.L. cup matches) or beneficial loan deals for Tuanzebe, Poole and J. Pereira in the summer transfer window. The fate of Charlie Scott and Matty Willock looks uncertain under Mourinho. I also doubt Blind will want to continue to be a fringe player in the team next season, so he might get sold too. I want us to play a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1 formation against weak teams and 4-3-3 (using gegen-pressing) against strong teams. In 4-2-3-1 we may play Lukaku with Martial on the left flank & Sanchez on the right; in 4-3-2-1 we can play Rashford if the opposition is quick in counter attacks otherwise we should play Lukaku and in 4-3-3, we must play with Martial on the left, Sanchez on the right and Rashford / new (C.F. + C.A.M.) player through the middle of the frontline so that each of them can switch positions while attacking to open up the opposition defence. CB is still a bit iffy - excluding Bailey, I don't really have a great deal of confidence in any of the others. We should be getting rid of Rojo and arguably both Jones and Smalling, I think at least one of them will stay though. With Lindelof in hiding again I could see a CB arrive in the summer.

We should be getting rid of Rojo and arguably both Jones and Smalling, I think at least one of them will stay though. With Lindelof in hiding again I could see a CB arrive in the summer. There is no way we clear out three centre backs. I want to keep Jones anyway. Injury free he us still a great defender. |
