Savic + Jorginho/Weigl + Sessegnon + Soler. CB is still a bit iffy - excluding Bailey, I don't really have a great deal of confidence in any of the others. We should be getting rid of Rojo and arguably both Jones and Smalling, I think at least one of them will stay though. With Lindelof in hiding again I could see a CB arrive in the summer. There is no way we clear out three centre backs. I want to keep Jones anyway. Injury free he us still a great defender. Not to mention that there's no way were're signing 3 CM's, unless something dramatic happens and half the squad leaves.

www.football365.com/news/gossip-perisic-and-kovacic-in-rashford-out-of-man-unitedMAN UNITED STILL WANT PERISIC
This is very much a case of 2+2 gossip but it is a Monday in February and beggars cannot be choosers. The Daily Mirror website claim that United still want Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what Mourinho said after the win over Huddersfield Town. The Mirror say that ‘a move for Perisic is likely to hinge on whether Inter can offer him Champions League football’. Likely? We suspect it’s likelier to hinge on whether Manchester United decide they need another winger. Reinforcements in central midfield and full-back positions are more ‘likely’ to be high on their agenda. OR IS IT KOVACIC?
This sounds more likely and comes from Spanish newspaper AS, who claim that Manchester United are one of four teams – along with Juventus, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur – who are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic. But Real Madrid are not interested in selling the 23-year-old, even though he has started only one La Liga game this season; he is seen as the long-term replacement for Luka Modric. RASHFORD OUT?
File this under ‘absolutely massive leap’ from The Express, who have taken Manchester United links with Ajax youngster Justin Kluivert, tucked them under their arm and run with them…arriving at an exit for Marcus Rashford. ‘MANCHESTER UNITED star Marcus Rashford could be forced to give up on his Old Trafford career if Jose Mourinho lands Patrick Kluivert in the summer,’ it says, providing your first clue that this has not come from a place of great knowledge. a) It’s not Patrick. b) Clubs are allowed more than one young player at any one time.

I'd like Kovacic but not sure he is exactly what we need, and not sure Real would sell. He has bags of talent though, I definitely wouldn't say no.

football365 really is a rag of a football site. How so? They've quoted the 'rags', same as the BBC do, only they actually call them bullshit half the time.

Far from perfect, but good opinion pieces on there now and again, Mediawatch is generally pretty good too. Ironically, gotten worse since they lost/sold their SKY blanket of protection and have to generate some extra clicks.

They always used to complain about the restrictions Sky put on them, but now have to spend their time on some clickbait instead of writing and not worrying about making a profit. They're still one of the best football sites around.

Kovacic would be a good option - would fit well in a midfield with Pogba and Matic.

Soler sometimes plays wide in a 442, a position that Jose has already said doesn't exist at United when talking about Pereira. He's not a Sanchez type wide player, hes a Koke type wide player, which we don't have any use for. If he signs for us, it will be as a CM.

Tottenham got lauded for their performance against us at Wembley, when really they were OK, lucky and played against our chaotic and non existant midfield! I'll stick with my prediction from the start of the season that Spurs won't win anything or qualify for the Champions league. That will start an exodus andHarry(he's one of our own) Kane will be off to Real, and we don't need another forward.
We should buy Toby Alderweireld and pay for it by selling Smalling and Blind.
We'll need to splash out on the best we can buy in MF and Let Fellaini and Herrera go. Strootman and Sergej Milinković-Savić BOTH.

hope Jose saying he doesn't want attackers is a massive bluff and smokescreen.
also hope, he aims to go all in for mili - Savic, read that hes personally went out and watched him? dunno how true that is.
have no idea who this Soler is and why we would be interested in him either. if he plays the same as Pereira, why not just bring him back.
we definitely need a proper CB, get rid of smalling and Rojo/Jones. play TFM and Tuanzebe in the other games and when theyre needed.

Justin Kluivert has said to a Dutch paper that a move to United "wouldn't make sense, for now."
